In any society, the provision of the best healthcare is something critical towards a healthy
and prosperous nation. In any healthcare organization, there should be a chief operating officer
and concerned persons to ensure the people receive the relevant services and support. In the 15-
bed Emergency Room (ER), there is need to offer the right support to the patients and address all
the challenges faced at the company. As the Chief Operating officer, the mission is to ensure the
patients get the right services and support from the emergency room. In the past one year, there
have been enormous challenges and complaints resulting from the patients. They have identified
issues to do with lack of pace, long waiting times, inability to get right support and care from the
physicians, and lack of proper ER management.
Diagnosing the Causes of Complaints
In the recent past, the problems affecting the ER room have been consistent thereby
making it impossible to offer better services to the patients. The leading cause of these services is
mainly the issue of physician-nurse support and creation of the best organizational workplace
culture. With poor culture and organizational structure, what happens is that the nurses and other
service providers at the facility cannot provide the intended services to the patients (Chesnay &
Anderson, 2011). This has been the case with this company with the nurses failing to provide the
right support and at the same time becoming impossible to achieve the expected goals.
With such ineffectiveness at the company, the nurses and the entire workforce at the
company is incapable of supporting the working process and thereby making it impossible to
meet the growing needs of the patients. The problem-solving processes and ability to promote
the best workforce and teamwork is a critical approach that continues to make it impossible to
