loan of over 13 billion dollars. The president at that time said that liquidating general motors
would have caused economic hardship at that time in the US.
Methods used to collect data
It involves, observation-I observed what was happening in the firm. The modes of
communication used with each other. The working schedule they used in that company, the
environment and also the speed of the workers while they were doing their work.
Taking notes- I took down notes of some of the new words I heard being used.
Interviewing- I interviewed one of the workers in the company to tell me more about the
relationship between the co-workers. The working hours and the benefits they obtained from the
company.
Internet- I searched for the history of the company. When it began, how it works and some
of its failures
Data collection
The company had a chairman and Executive officer who were elected by the members of
the company. The chairman is fixated on strengthening their core business of producing great
cars. The chairman tries to make the customers at the focus of everything that the firm is
doing. The firm also had a president who is involved in dealing with the companies trades all
over the world. Their president is also involved in planning new business growths.

software engineers, accountants, sales representatives, parts counter associates and also restroom

cleaners who work in the globally known firm. The firm nearly had a breakdown due to a
communication crisis, and it even became bankrupt, and another company bought its shares. The
managers mostly did not have a face to face communication with their staff while relaying a
message.
In the firm some parts had parts of a vehicle taken out and placed on a platform. This was in
a vehicle engineering center where they automobiles are examined. The workers in the company
examined designs of other vehicles to understand other companies better and design their own
and improved versions. There are many types of vehicles in the in the VEC which are
disassembled; this is where the benchmarking team of general motors is found. This team
enables them to obtain a nearly original manufacturing data of the vehicle. The staff always
spoke about how to improve their models and how there would be able to meet the need of their
customer. They were very concerned about the needs of their customers and how to beat their
completion. They had very nice co-operation with each other while work and where they differed
they tried to create an understanding between each other.
The workers working in the company worked in shifts. Though some individual complained
about not getting a secure working place and their shifts were not flexible as they would have
wanted.
A member of the firm said that he loved working there since the place was very nice to
work in. The management was very nice and cooperated very well with everyone working for
them and tried their best to provide proper working conditions for them. The individual also said
that the workers cooperated with each other very well hence making it the best place to be in.

There were also reaping great benefits from the company, and the pay was good according to the
hours they worked.
Data Analysis
General motors main goal is to make their company the most valuable firm in the motor
vehicle industry. This would enable their company to obtain very high profits and give their
shareholder very high returns. They also have an allegiance to treat all their buyers all over the
world with respect thus earning them for life. They also pledge to care about the customer's
needs not only when they purchase new vehicles but for the whole period through which they
stay with those vehicles. General motors also strive to acknowledge their customers daily as they
try to obtain their allegiance which makes them better and much safer than the other companies
which are competing against them. They try to attain these goals by employing the best
individuals to work for them all over the world.
Why general motors do exists
General Motors is among the largest firms in history that manufacture locomotives in the
whole world. Their company basically to produce high-quality vehicles to satisfy their
customer's needs and also produce new brands depending on what the people would want.
Communication in the company
The manager sometimes communicates to her employees through a video to explain when
something has happened thus updating them internally. This shows that the communication
between the top officials and the people beneath them is mainly nonverbal communication.

The employees had to communicate among themselves especially when one's shift was
over, and he was to be released. Employees also have wireless telephones that they carry around
in the manufacturing base that enable them to respond to changes very fast. They also had some
face to face communication with their leaders when they were to be updated on very important
issues.
These communications are held in these ways to ensure that the employees are well
informed about everything that is going on in the company. This is important since it enables
them to be the first ones to know if something is going on instead of hearing it from the media.
This also enables them to participate in trying to provide a solution to the problem at hand.
Proper communication creates a very strong internal relationship among the members of the firm
and develops a respectable customer relationship too.
Specialized language
The general motors stuff introduces the name Hy- wire in the year 2002. This term stands
for Hydrogen drive-by-wire. This was used to refer to a vehicle that runs on hydrogen fuel and
functions on a drive-by-wire instrumentation. This means that the automobile is electronically
controlled. A school child suggested this name.
Findings
I observed that the company had very many workers who were the specialist in different
fields ranging from engineers to people who are cleaning the floor. The working environment
was very nice and worker friendly. Workers cooperated with each other very well at a very fast
pace. The staff strives at producing cars that their customer would love and also tries to observe
the way other companies make their auto-motives to stay at the top of their game. I also noted

that the company had once failed through searching for the company. This failure was due to a
communication hitch. This made the company be sold told another to liquidate it. Through this, I
concluded that for a company to work there must be a very strong communication medium
between the staff and the management.
