The world is dynamic, and we are living in an era where the society is burdened with
obligations and duties to meet. In every community, there are disadvantaged and vulnerable that
requires our support in one way or another. Addressing the fundamental needs like food,
clothing, and shelter leaves alone education is a challenge to the needy especially the orphans.
As a leader, I understand the need to change the image of the society towards the less privileged.
As being part of the community, I feel and try all the way I can to help them.
As a social worker, I have initiated projects to generate funds to help the children. In a
move to teach them how to fish instead of providing the fish itself, I am the club treasurer of the
interact club that host Easter toy drives and toy drive for the needy. Numerous club members are
of the same mind, and I take part in the fundraising campaign. The campaign involves hosting
events and competitions in search of money for supporting the home. Also, the toy drive for the
needy brings together the children and helps them realize their importance to the community.
I have realized that despite the physical needs, the needy lacks emotional, social, and
psychological support. During the events, the people are in a position to socialize, play together,
and interact thus feel they feel loved and as part of the society. There is the bond formation with
the rest of the community. As a student and aspiring global leader, I am trying hard to see out the
Interact club succeed and materialize to cover the whole country shortly. I am planning to look
for partners and well-wishers to support the children in the transformation of the society. With
more duties and tasks to perform, I am slow prepared to become one of the global leaders.
