In this essay, I will focus on the song “Despacito” which is a word meaning slowly in
Spanish and the song “I want to hold your hand” which was a popular song during the 60s. Luis
Fonsi and Daddy Yankee created the song Despacito while the song I want to hold your hand
was made by The Beatles a famous rock band in England during the 60s and was made up of
four artists. Both songs tend to express the same content which is the aspect of love however
each comprises of different beats and genres and since most modern song comprise of different
genres in which some of them are associated with negative behavior such as substance usage
there is a need of the parents to monitor the music their child listens to..
The song Despacito is a great song that is popular among the teenagers today because of
several factors and the main ones include; the song has some unique combination of different
styles, it displays current dancing moves and also current fashion in term of dressing. On that
factor of different styles, the song has wonderful and catchy melodies due to the combination of
pop beats, Latin words, reggaeton, and rap verses hence resulting to a thrilling and compelling
song that you can’t avoid to listen to it again and again. Moreover, it’s video has depicted nice
moves which have lured many teens to view the video in an attempt to learn them. Also, the
dressing of the artist and the other individuals in the video of the song are wonderful, and a
teenager is compelled to watch it so as to be informed or be updated on what is trending in the
fashion industry.
Some of the concerns of teens are an achievement in life in that they think about ways in
which they can become rick quickly and most importantly how they can love someone whereby
they will go to the extent of marrying each other. The song Despacito has achieved to express
these concerns, the lyrics of the song express the affection an individual has on another person
