Denzel Hayes Washington Jr. is perhaps the most famous and most influential African-

American actor. Born on 28th December 1954, Washington is the first African-American actor

to receive three Golden Globe Awards. He has also won two Academy Awards for the best

supporting actor for his role in the 1989 film Glory and his role in the 2001 crime thriller

Training Day. The 1992 film Malcolm X, is a Biographical epic of the controversial life of the

civil rights activist Malcolm X. He advocates for Black Civil rights through ‘controversial’

means. Unfortunately, he is assassinated on 21st February 1965 and dies a Muslim martyr

(Malcolm X.) Denzel Washington takes up the lead role as Malcolm X. The film is directed by

Spike Lee and produced by Spike Lee, Marvin Worth and Monty Ross. I admire, Denzel due to

his talent and dedication to his characters as well as his charismatic personality.
