American National Security.
National security of a Nation State comprises the security of the people, institutions,
economy and is taken as the duty of the government to implement this. The national security in
the past was defined as the security and protection from the threat against military attack and
political freedom, but in the current context, national security focuses on many branches
including the food security, economic security, environmental security and energy security
among others.
Potential threats to national security may results from other countries in terms of terrorist
attack and military attack are some of the common example. Natural disaster like flooding, drought
and earthquake are also potential threat to the national security.
The American National Security is currently undergoing a serious debate on the security
issues and foreign policies that faces United States. United States of America focuses on fighting
Terrorism. This has remained outstanding and the top priority of the National Security. Some of
the potential problems that need currently being debated in the national security levels are as
follow.
Terrorism
Terrorism is a serious challenge that faces most of the nations, and American national
security concluded that the fighting against terrorism remains the top policy. There has been far of
attack by the Terrorists including the ISIS that are dedicated to harm Americans in any way. Syria
and Iraq are the places that pose a great danger to American as far as terrorists are concerned
(Louw, 2017). The two parties in America, the Democrats and Republican decide to unite making
