NURSES IN THE HEALTHCARE SYSTEM 2
Question 1
Discuss the role of nurses in the Healthcare system
Nurses work on the front line in health care to provide hands-on care to patients. They do
so by giving the doctors with information concerning patients so that measures can be taken on
patient care (Nadhrah & Michell, 2013). The primary duty of nursing to ensure that patient care
is adequately discharged. The role is played through assessments and observations of patients to
assist doctors in creating a care plan after which it is carried out using medication and treatment.
The second role of nurses is patient education. They do so by helping the patients in
learning how to arrive at healthy decisions. After making a medical diagnosis, the nurses help
patients and caregivers learn the diagnosis and how it can be handled (Nadhrah & Michell,
2013). Nurses working in inpatient facilities are charged with managing the instructions given
for discharging and helping the patients understand post-discharge activities.
Workaround Issue in the Setting of Nurses
One important workaround is the providing of instruction to a patient on how to follow
up with the Professional Conversion Program. The instructions regard medications. The
workaround issue needs to be addressed because it leads to a new and better process (Seaman &
Erlen, 2015). The procedures involve the mechanisms for getting inputs from the Professional
Conversion Program and the surgeon where patients have medical regimens that have
complexities.
