ASSESSMENT/ MARKETING PLAN 2

Assessment/Marketing plan
The SAA Resource group is responsible for providing a plan on how to help alcohol
addicts reduce the use of alcohol over a period and eventually quit the behavior. There is thus
need to identify whether a region qualifies for the process. To find out whether a region deserves
the help of this program, it is necessary to conduct a needs assessment plan which is a plan
indicating the need for the program in the society. The first part of this paper is thus a need
assessment plan on how to examine the need for this program in my community.
The assessment will target individuals who are 18 years and above affected the problem
of Alcoholism in Jamestown. The assessment will include both male and female, although the
main concentration will be on the male population affected by the problem. The most affected
individuals by intake of alcohols in every society are the male species.
Alcohol use is prone to those under 18 years too. Therefore, the assessment will involve
use questionnaires on parents asking them if their sons are taking alcohol. The questionnaire may
have a section of whether the parents suspect their children are engaging in alcohol use. After
that, different forms of questionnaires may be given to married women asking them about their
husbands' drinking tendencies. The questionnaires will have a column on whether alcohol intake
has a relationship with men not fulfilling their fatherly roles. Some men will be given
questionnaires on their drinking tendencies and if it makes them feel bad. It is noteworthy that
some men may not give honest answers. The results from women are thus vital.
The program coordinators are thus required to move door to door with the forms. If there is
nobody at home, there is a reserve team in place that visits such homesteads after contacting
them and confirming they will be present. To make sure the process is not a nuisance, for people
