Michael Brown killing 
  Michael Brown’s case shock many people when it comes to police ruthlessness. The 
killing of Michael Brown happened in the year 2014, in the city of Ferguson, the northern 
residential area of St. Louis. Brown was an African American aged 18 years. Brown was alleged 
to be involved in an armed robbery of a convenient shop. Darren Wilson, the police officer, shot 
and killed Brown, this happened few meters away from the convenient shop. Darren claimed that 
the confrontation came when Brown tried to attack him in a police truck to possess the gun he 
was holding. In the process of confrontation, Wilson was forced to gunfire minimum of twelve 
bullets. Wilson claimed that he did not have intentions of killing rather he was trying to defend 
himself. Nevertheless, several witnesses say that Darren Brown's hands were raised above the 
head as a way of surrendering, but Wilson went ahead and killed him. The killing of an unarmed 
man raised so many protests, mass media and statesmen have strongly condemned police on how 
they handle protesters. 
Grand jury was involved to determine the case. Robert McCulloch, the county prosecutor 
of St. Louis, gave the evidence. On 24
th
 of November 2014, grand jury came to a conclusion not 
to accuse Darren Wilson. After the investigation was concluded Department of justice cleared
