For a successful career, every young person requires knowledge, training, and social

skills to cooperate with colleagues. Previous research has revealed that those with college

education excel in some of these competencies compared to those without. Every child has the

right to a college education; however, studies in some of the public universities indicate that the

multicultural students are underrepresented in the student population. This implies that unless

you from multicultural societies acquire a college education, you will not have equal chances to

compete with other students from other ethnicities for career opportunities in future. For you to

excel in your career, you require knowledge, confidence, as well as social skills and technical

skills. However, you can only achieve these benefits if you attain college education.

I would wish to advise you as students from multicultural backgrounds to “Make College

Part of Your future” by applying for a college degree in one of the state universities in mid-west,

which has dwindling numbers of learners from your backgrounds (Wilcox, Ault & Agee, 2006).

Ideally, college education provides better understanding of most of the concepts learned in

class to 12

in schools and offer people more confidence in life to face challenges. The job

market has also become quite competitive that high school graduates rarely find jobs. Therefore,

you have to go to college to increase your chances of acquiring government jobs or other well-

paying jobs.

Many benefits come with the college degree, for instance, university graduates tend to

earn more than their high school counterparts do even if they work in the same ranks. Apart from

college degree preparing people intellectually and socially, it leads to overall happiness and

stability among peers. Arguably, the quest for college degree has become so inevitable in the

contemporary World that it has become part of "American Dream." Therefore, I would like to
