I interviewed Katja Presnal and some of the questions, I had were like how did she find the vital
balance between being objective and advocating for your clients interests. She maintained it is
crucial to remain objective as possible while maintaining the interests of the organization. One of
the ways to do this is to stick with the facts but present them in a way that does not hurt the
company. “Maintaining a balance between not disclosing details to consumers and not hurting
the business is very important.”Katja concluded.
How would she express her writing? She said excellent writing skills are important for any
public relations professional. She did a huge deal in English during her school life. She was very
strong in written and spoken English. She took part in editorial activities and debate.
I learnt how you could manage crises in the PR world. Katja advocated for self-control and
flexibility r any public relations expert. Total representation of facts is very important,
downplaying facts in any situation only adds to the disaster. Maintaining a somber atmosphere is
very important, sincere apologies should be issued.
Her take on social media in public relations was that social media is a major driving force in PR.
Some of her favorite social media platforms are Facebook, Instagram, twitter and Snapchat. All
these platforms have different target audiences.it is crucial to identify target market and the
social media platform to reach them through.
