In the present day and past, scientists in the biological field have been extending their
research efforts to assess new genetic processes. Among the leading developments that have led
to significant impacts on animal and human lives is cloning. Typically, the method involves the
generation of identical copies of organisms and cells such that they exhibit the same features as
the mother cell without the natural replication procedures. Most commonly, the process is
asexual and has been in extensive use in creating cells for animals. It has succeeded and times
but also failing in some situations due to genetic resistance. In spite of that, the innovation has
profound effects.
In a way to understand the cloning process, it is undeniable that it acts as a substitute to
sexual reproduction at some point if not at all cases. It is a situation where prokaryotic organisms
such as bacteria engage in enhanced duplication through binary fission. Also, the same process
can occur through budding (Cibelli, 2014). In the same way, it is possible to realize the same
outcomes when performing the procedures on mitotic cells such as skin cells. The only limitation
is that in humans there is an exception of the gametes since they require genetic recombination.
Like it happens in pet cloning, the procedure is all about duplicating a biological material
to improve scientific studies. A perfect illustration of such a case is the performance of DNA or
individual cells. As such, it is possible to study the structures of organelles without contact with
the ordinary lives of animals and human beings. However, some controversies about the same
have occasionally been emerging since it doesn’t make sense to many on the practicality of
cloning. The subsequent use of the embryos after replication has been contentious since there is
no agreement regarding their use in research, reproduction uses, and therapeutic processes.

It is vital to understand that cloning has profoundly advanced science. Through the
process, while studying the reactions in the cloned organisms, it is possible for scientists to study
the genes that with a link to human diseases. For instance, by examining the behavior as it
happens to cloned monkeys, biologists and healthcare experts can monitor how different genes
alter the human body (Coghlan, 2018). Apart from disease identification, cloning has opened up
significant business opportunities in science. There is no doubt that people spend a lot when they
want their pets cloned.
So far, it is evident that the progress is procedural and the impacts are far-reaching. In
spite of that, cloning has been experiencing significant setbacks which as well have made human
cloning a mirage. The leading one is the fact that it is a challenge to collect adequate human cells
for the process. Considering that there is also the element of reprogramming, it might take more
than the current inputs to realize the feat. The issue of resistant genes is high, and blockage may
hamper replication (Regalado, 2018). The problem of cost has been a significant setback which
also limits reproduction.
All in all, despite the current challenges and ethical issues facing cloning, it is evident
that the process is gradually progressing while doing all that is possible to achieve its
reproduction objectives. As time advances, human cloning might also be an ordinary process
despite the challenges of reprogramming and gene blocking that limit cell combination in the
present day. Indeed, like it took place in sheep and monkeys, everything develops after
addressing its challenges. Also, governments should support such research since it is a way of
improving health through disease patterns monitoring.
