College Debt
College debt affects the student whether currently attending, graduated or has been
dismissed in that they are obliged to pay them when they start working As stated by (Dwyer, R.
E. et al.,2), college debt is meant to help everyone get a college education amid rising college
tuition fees. On a secondary level, college debt affects the school if the debt is transferred to it
due to dropping out of the student. The
For a student with low or no income and cannot afford to pay for their own fees does
instill fear for getting into college debt and hence an education. According to (Callender, and
Jonathan,1), the lower class are likely to be repelled from enrolling to university due to fear of
debt. This fear is further driven by stories of people getting into debt and are unable to service
the loan due to unemployment.
Some of the benefits of lowering include the costs of tuition;
a) Help bright and needy students to get an education without falling into a pool of debt and
build their social status. As stated by (Mirowsky, and Ross,1), education acts as a way of
social mobility from one generation to the other.

b) Boost faster financial growth by reducing the time taken by graduates in paying off their
student loans. According to (Minicozzi, 420), college debts determine the type of job they
choose depending on the salary’s ability to service the college debt.
c) Encourage choosing and pursuing one’s dreams without being forced by circumstances to
follow a career that one does not like.
It costs to go to college since public universities do not offer free tuition as is the case in
public high schools. This is also true because universities require specialized equipment to offer
quality education to its student and such equipment varies from one college course to another.
Hence, it would not be possible to standardize tuition fees and offer free tuition in colleges.
The freedom and happiness of getting an opportunity to go to school come from the
opportunity to choose what one wants to be and pursue his or her passion. It does give hope to
those who do not have the best of opportunities at the moment to change that fate. There is
happiness also for those who enjoy learning for different purposes such as innovation, using the
knowledge to make a difference and also disseminating the same knowledge or simply getting to
learn something new.
