Probably one of the most significant periods to the people of the United States, the 1920s

such as equality being inevitable, the society had already started a remarkable journey towards
development. Nevertheless, despite the numerous cultural changes that influenced a mass
departure from the past American values, the most interesting and important one was the growth
of the mass culture; in fact, its impacts still influence the lives of Americans today.
With numerous inventions taking place and business growing after the First World War,
many people had more than enough money to spend. More so, considering that they were more
exposed particularly after exploring other areas during the war, many Americans came to
embrace new developments with education bringing a modern influence in the society further.

its need and a fifth of the population owned a car by 1929. Apparently, more vehicles meant
increased growth in both manufacturing and service industry. The same impact happens in the
present day where many businesses depend on the automobile economy. Undoubtedly, service
stations are still growing as this development intensifies, credit commerce on the rise as well,
and growth of motels to address drivers’ needs is an important element that no one should
overlook. As a result, it is justified to deduce that the rise of the mass culture was the most
