Deployment
In any assignment or even mission, leaders in various positions ought to be very
careful and strategic in their planning. This is because there are times that they are required to
make urgent decisions regarding resources at their disposal. Deployment is the process through
which resources are organized and utilized so as to be effective enough for the intended use
(Merino).Deployment calls for the employment of very stringent measures in order to achieve
maximum utility otherwise, resources will not be enough. Often, deployments and especially of
resources are made in circumstances that are calling for abnormal actions and hence abnormal
measures and skills to achieve the intended goal (Marinilli). In the army context, deployment
means moving soldiers together with their arsenals from one area of duty to the next (Rivera, and
Stevens). The army at times is required to make regular movements whenever they are called
upon to do so depending on the circumstances. They are required to always have an elaborate
backup plan that will be clear enough to inject any kind of deployment.
Deployment is essential in all walks of life since it is very difficult to foretell what might
happen in the next hour, day, week or even month (Williamson). Therefore, it is essential to be
always prepared in such a way that there is enough of what might be required to deploy.
Circumstances at times call for procedures to see to it that deployment is made possible. It
SURNAME2
should always be possible to deploy any amount of resources that might be required at any one
time. This calls for readiness to handle any kind of effort that might be called upon. Deployment
at times can be very challenging if there are no adequate plans put in place to deal with such an
eventuality (Zinavage). It is important to note that deployment calls for a skilled labor force that
is well-trained personnel to execute the plans that are laid down. It is considered wise to have a
predictive deployment in order to simulate the likely events that might take place in the process
of deployment (Smith, and Smith). The pre-deployment exercise makes it possible to visualize
all the resources that might be required. This makes it easier to establish faster and cheaper ways
to deliver in the case deployment is required (Head, and Mann). Additionally, pre-deployment is
the best way that helps in the articulation and anticipation of the resources that might be required
hence it enhances execution of the plan with utmost precision.
It is imperative for the leaders in various fields to premeditate all the requirements that
are needed in the event of deployment (Pokras). Leaders are responsible for giving guidance to
their juniors and provide a clear roadmap to follow in the event redeployment is taking place.
The leaders are responsible for providing a clear guideline on what needs to be done at every
stage of deployment (Breyman). It is the responsibility of the leaders to plan for the logistics that
are required in the process of deployment. This is important every resource that is required is
supposed to be moved to the required destination whenever it is required. For timely delivery of
the resources to the destinations that they are required, the logistics have to be planned ahead of
time and put in readiness for execution (Wang et al.). Logistics is a very vital component that can
make deployment fail or succeed depending on how planning was executed. It has the capability
of determining the direction in which deployment will take therefore need to be given a priority
in carrying out a pre-deployment exercise (Dehe, and Bamford).
SURNAME3
Deployment is made a reality because of the infrastructure that has been put in place. It is
imperative for the leaders to know that the infrastructure is paramount in executing deployment
at any one time. Leaders in their various fields have to note and keep in their mind that they have
to give the infrastructure the attention it deserves. Infrastructure is important because it defines
the extent and means of executing deployment (Buchiri et al.). It is possible for infrastructure to
determine the sophistication or the opposite in which the execution is carried out. The most
successful organizations, armies, and firms in the exercise of deployment, did consider this
component in the pre-deployment. This is a very major component that has the capability of
bringing down the whole of the plan if not well looked at. It is obvious that infrastructure on its
own cannot be able to make deployment a success, but also it is true that all other deliverables
made available minus the infrastructure, then it spell doom for the whole of the deployment
exercise. This is why the army invests heavily in the infrastructure that might be required to
deploy resources to any destination that they need to move to. It is also equally important for all
other organizations to invest heavily in the infrastructure that will be a major component in
executing infrastructure. However, it is unfortunate that many continue to overlook this
component of infrastructure instead of investing in it ahead of time.
Deployment is an important and a paramount exercise to an organization, army or even
firms in their area of operation. It is, therefore, important for the leaders to find a way of
instilling discipline for all that are in the system. Discipline is paramount in that it determines the
level of sophistication in deployment execution (Kathiravan et al.). The leaders and all that are in
the system have to operate within strict confines of the developed policy that guides how
deployment is done. For deployment to be successful, then all plan activities have to be
undertaken at specific timeframes and in the areas where they have been planned. The leaders in
SURNAME4
the various fields are responsible for coming up with a program that will help in instilling
discipline on all that are involved in the system. This, at times, might call for restrictive measures
and also punitive ones to handle any kind of indiscipline for all that are involved. Further still,
the level of discipline also dictates the level of sophistication in the execution of deployment
exercise. It is the level of discipline that determines whether deployment is going to be a success
or not to an organization or even better says, anywhere. It does not matter the level of
preparations that the organizations, armies, firms or even individuals undertake in terms of
workforce and infrastructure, what matters is the discipline that is observed by all and sundry
that are involved in the deployment. This is enough evidence why most of the army’s
deployments are successful and precise because of the level of discipline instilled in all those
who are involved in the system.
Deployment calls for Utmost precision in all areas of operation in order to achieve the
desired results. Some of the deployment missions are so complicated and sophisticated hence
require some degree of familiarity. It is important to be aware and be pretty sure of what needs to
be done and at what juncture (Partovi, and Corredoira). This will be of great help in responding
to the calls of duty in deployment and also ensuring a success in the event. It is true that
deployment does not take place all the time but it happens regularly hence, there is enough time
to familiarize with all the procedures that need to be followed. Leaders in various positions of the
society need to organize for training in order to teach all those who are in the system how and
what to do in the event they are required to be involved in deployment. Training goes a long way
in making sure that all the personnel that is involved in deployment exercise have all the required
skills at the fingertips. Training the workforce sharpens the skills and harnesses them towards
perfection that is very much needed for the deployment. Additionally, refreshing courses are
SURNAME5
paramount in reminding the already trained once on how to go about their duty. Moreover,
refreshing courses provide those involved in the system with an opportunity to keep on taking
their skills a notch higher in handling deployments hence an improved way of deploying.
Additionally, Refresher courses are very instrumental in giving new challenges to those who are
involved in deployment. It motivates the participants in the refresher courses to come up with
better and improved ways and means of handling their duties and responsibilities. Therefore,
giving training and refresher courses to those who are already trained is the surest way in making
sure the skills that are required in deployments are readily available.
Deployment is a very noble exercise because it involves facilitation of the transfer of
resources to the area that they are needed most. This means that the exercise is very crucial to the
operations. It is in the best interest of the organization to see to it that the resources are
transferred safely to the destinations where they are required. It is also important that the
resources that are intended to be transferred arrive at the intended destination in the safe state.
This also calls for a higher level of sophistication to ensure that there is no wastage along the
way. In this twenty-first century, technology is available which makes work easier. Technology
makes sure that there is a level of sophistication involved in the process of deployment which
adds an assuring factor that the intended destination or intention will be achieved. Technology
also ensures that the challenges along the way are dealt with exhaustively because it is very easy
to locate the source of the hickup. It is important to incorporate the technological aspect in the
deployment in order to achieve a sting precision in the operation.
Deployment is a major exercise that needs a lot of concentration and open-mindedness
(Good et al.). This is necessary for making sure that are deliverables that are required for
deployment to be successful are available on time and on site where they are required. Therefore,
SURNAME6
it calls for a very critical, sober, and critical consideration in seeing to it that deployment has
been successful.
