In the human society context, Family refers to a group of individuals affiliated either
through affinity (marriage relationship between opposite sex), Consanguinity (by birth), and co-
residence (etymology implied). Members of the immediate family may include parents, their
children, adopted members and the extended family members. In many societies around the
world that looks on a family as the basic foundation for the socialization of families and is the
elementary entity for nurturing children. Family is a framework for the reproduction and
production of beings socially and biologically. This can happen through the sharing of nurture
kinship, obligations, sentimental and moral ties.
A comprehensive family assessment is a continuing and dynamic practice of analyzing,
collecting, Synthesizing and matching the information that provides knowledge on family needs
or strengths concerning to child’s wellbeing, security, and stability. A better assessment should
have a direct influence at healthier effects for youngsters. Family assessment includes
understanding those needs, family structures, and functional strong point within the cycle or
domains towards need. Safety of the child must be assessed using the safety constructs such as
Threats of Maltreatment are behaviors, perceptions, and capacities which can produce child
maltreatment (Holman, & Fairleigh ,1986). Vulnerability is the degree to which a child cannot
on her own negate, avoid, modify the impact of impending danger.
Families that engage in arranged marriage are open to diverse beliefs that are distinct
from their own. These positive effects would influence them towards diverse customs which
results into better prospects. This entire diversity will result to a better future. Ethnic inequalities
between diverse people and races exhibiting unawareness concerning the couples. Arranged
marriage will result into adoption of different cultures and beliefs that are regularly enforced on
the couple (Thompson, Lamanna, & Riedmann, 2006).
