Introduction/Abstract
Domestic policy is widely used in describing a variety of issues, including social welfare,
healthcare, personal rights, natural resources, law enforcement, and legislation. It is referred to
be courses of actions and plans national government takes that cover internal issues of the
country. It affects the manner in which every citizen of the country lives day to day. This paper
aims at discussing domestic problems the United States of America is facing, identifying types of
domestic policy, main examples of domestic policy and role of president in solving the problems.
The federal government through consultations with state and local governments develops
domestic policy and affairs of United States of America. These affairs and policy have
significance in that they deal with critical issues such as education, healthcare, natural resources,
energy, taxation, personal freedoms, social welfare, and public safety. Their goal is to minimize
dissatisfaction and unrest among nation’s citizens by stressing on areas that are important such as
improving healthcare and law enforcement.

Domestic policies in Unites States of America are divided into various main categories.
These policies govern the U.S government, care and guide citizens, and enforce laws by keeping
them in right track. The first main policy is Regulatory that aims at maintaining social order by
forbidding actions and behaviors that endanger citizens. To accomplish this goal, laws, and
policies that restrict companies, people, and groups helps in stopping doing things endangering
political and social order. For example, issues such as creation of policies to deter people from
abusing drugs or administration of voting procedures.
Distributive policy ensures fair provision of taxpayer-supported government benefits,
