EX RESEARCH REPORT.
INTRODUCTION
Stakeholder interviews are a very powerful tool that will provide you with a lot of information
and insights about the domain you will be working on. Also, it will help you understand the
business goals and objectives of this project. Starting a project without understanding the
business.
Stakeholder interviews are powerful tools used by Experience Design (XD) teams that lead to
increased understanding, optimized approach, and improved usability. Our conversations
focused on gaining information on the domains, workflow, and understanding the business
goals and objectives of the Gallagher Marketing team. This report will summarize the patterns
found and also list service recommendations that are tailored to the specific project needs of
each team.
Each interview went for about an hour long and had two researchers, one facilitating the
conversation and the other focused on making observations and note-taking. Each stakeholder
interview was recorded, documented, and transcribed. The notes from the session are attached
to the end of this document.
MAJOR FINDINGS.
Map the Workflow
The map of the workflow is any opportunities to improve team collaboration and decrease
work silos. It will provide value for each team by:
Web Team: Assist in managing unrealistic deliverable timeline expectations
Social Team: Help with prioritizing internal workflow
Digital marketing Team: Support continued team collaboration success.
Improve the Web Design
Our goal is to provide web design assistance to each of the teams.
Web Team: This team would like help in creating updated webpage tempests
Digital Marketing team: The team improves the customer and client relationship to
drive more profit and stronger relationships.
Social Team: It helps organizing content enhancing the design of the Gallagher one
page to improve communication and reduce respective questions.
Marketing Automation Team: This team can benefit from working with us to refine any
web design that they are responsible for.
Evaluate Customers
The Marking Automation and Digital Marketing teams are two teams that would benefit most
from customer evaluation. To do this our team will conduct user interviews to help us learn
about the wants, needs, and goals of the Users.
Marking Automation Team: To improve the email strategy and workflow our team
suggests talking with and learning from the people taking the surveys.
Digital Marketing team: The XD team wants to learn more about the four client groups
Premiere, Standard, Middle market and People on the site looking for employment
opportunities at Gallagher.
Improving Communication Quality
Marketing Automation team: Our goal for this team is to improve communication with
software to limit data risks.
Social team: improve employee communication helping us to improve Gallagher
employees understanding social media for business.
The Web team: This team is interested in optimizing content on web pages to be as
clear as possible.
CONCLUSION
All the teams were very excited to have our team on board. The Marketing team as a whole is
excited to learn more about UX and work with us. They are looking forward to not having
information lost when outsourcing work and having tailored recommendations that you can
only get from time, collaboration, communication and understanding.
Digital Marketing Team: This team has already received assistance from our team on
thinking about wording and how it affects the user experience. They are interested in
collaborating with us to create a digital solution for the High network millennial
concept project. The UX team has been requested to help with storing boarding, wire
framing, and user testing to bring this concept to life.
Web Team: This team has UX work outscored UX design work the past but they had a
frustrating experience because some of the recommended design solutions were not
feasible to implement. The aim for this team is to optimize content and improve the
web template quality. The Web team is also interested in getting the XD team involved
in the real estate/ Hospitality merge project. For this project the XD team will work to
create wireframes based on content test and track design feedback.
Social Team: This is a team has never received support. It is her goal to learn how our
team can take some work off or her plate. The audit process is an area of opportunity
for the social team and UX team to work tougher. Our team will provide innovative
design thinking techniques to simplify this process for everyone involved. We will do
storyboarding, heuristic evaluations, process flows, and design thinking workshops to
develop new solutions tailored to solve pain points.
Marketing Automation team: This team excited to see how UX can improve team
collaboration. Their goal is to enhance the Sales funnel and increase system integration
and automation. The XD team plans to run an observational user study so that we can
observe each step of their process. Concerned with identifying quality over quantity
when it comes to leads and UX can help with layout and drawing the intended audience
to the forms on the site.
