Women Managers' Success
Introduction
Women have had to overcome specific challenges that affect their performance in the
workplace. In this regard, it is imperative to note that gender biases have been a common
practice in many organizations where managerial positions are offered to men because of the
misconception that they deserve them. For many years, women have been discriminated in the
workplace, forcing them to seek alternatives such as the affirmative action to occupy leadership
positions and receive fair wages just like their male counterparts. While a majority of female
employees avoids engaging in supremacy battles with men, a few women have gone against the
odds to become successful in a career path dominated by men. In essence, women have emerged
triumphant by enhancing their knowledge through enrolling for further education, boosting their
confidence levels, and increasing their output in the workplace.
Factors Influencing Women Managers' Success
Enrolling for a course in an institution of higher learning enhances the knowledge of an
individual regarding their area of specialization. In this case, women have embraced this fact and
are joining various institutions to advance their levels of education (Bullough, De Luque,
Abdelzaher, and Heim, 2015, p. 260). From this observation, company managers have started to
recognize the role of educated women and other employees in the workplace. It should be noted
that the level of education has allowed women to explore managerial positions in the
organization because of the ability to understand concepts and implement them in their process
of making decisions (Joshi, Son, and Roh, 2015, p. 1530). Therefore, women can now engage in
competitive leadership positions in the workplace using their advanced education status that
meets the requirements of the organizations.

Confidence is an essential virtue that enables individuals to perform tasks by overcoming
their fears. While the ratio of men to women is higher in the workplace, a majority of women
have experienced particular challenges that have discouraged their attempts to succeed in the
corporate world. In this regard, it is essential to note that boosting confidence levels enhances the
abilities of individuals to approach specific tasks in the work area and perform them to
completion in line with the expectations of company managers (Ramadani, Hisrich, and Gërguri-
Rashiti, 2015, p. 400). For instance, many women have experienced discrimination in the
workplace regarding wage rate and compensation for their input towards specific companies.
However, it should be noted that confident women have achieved more celebrated milestones
than men because of their focus and attitude towards work within the work environment.
Organizations expect their employees to work under minimal supervision and meet
deadlines to increase their operational performance. In this regard, workers have an obligation
that requires them to meet the needs of consumers and the expectations of their employers
(Ayala, and Manzano, 2014, p. 130). Even as the job description outlines specific roles for
employees, it is imperative to state that company managers cannot fail to recognize the efforts of
a hardworking employee. From this observation, it is evident that successful women work harder
and smarter than other employees’ do, a move that opens up opportunities and allows them to
realize their career objectives.
Conclusion
Women have emerged victorious by enhancing their knowledge through enrolling for
further education, boosting their confidence levels, and increasing their output in the workplace.
It should be noted that the modern woman is ambitious and is willing to overcome all odds for
her to be successful in the workplace. Unlike in the past where women were exposed to many

hurdles in the workplace, organizations in the contemporary society have created an enabling
environment where female employees can occupy leadership positions on merit just like their
male counterparts.
