This year has marked a new dawn for Israel. The founding father of Israel once stated in a

biography a nation at all costs. The Israeli government under Prime Minister Netanyahu has

come to this realization. There had been a relative peace in the Gaza strip region in the recent

past. President Trump of the US has brocken this fragile peace since 2017. This fragile pe4ace

has been made even frail by the move by the US government of relocating the united states

Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. This has brought an increased warfare in this region as the

articles discussed below states. This confrontation has an Impact to the economy of Israeli. This

war has a negative impact to the Israeli. This has now become like back in 1948 when Israel

declared their independence eleven days from that day there was war. President Truman had

applauded israels action. Is this the repeat of the same event ? one would ask himself.

2018 Newsday wrote an article about how Israeli faces diplomatic fallout

after dozen were killed in the Gaza strip. In Gaza city patients with gunshot wounds filled wards

and hallways in the hospitals which are under equipped. Dozens were waiting for surgery a day

after Israeli soldiers opened fire on them. The high number of casualties has brought a backlash

to Israeli and a new charge of use of excessive force against unarmed protestors has been leveled

against the Israeli. The united Nation security began a session with a moment of silence to honor

the memory of the ones who had lost their lives during that ordeal. The Us envoy ion the middle

east said that there was no justification of the Israelis action of their killing. Turkey retaliated by

expelling Israeli Ambassador and several European countries have called for an international

investigation on the killing.. Israeli on the other hand asked the Turkish consul general to leave

their country temporarily. Israeli defended themselves by defended themselves by stating that

they have the right to defend their borders. Israeli accused Gaza ruling militant group of carrying

out several attacks under the guise of protestors.

The Monday confrontations was a culmination of a weeklong protest campaign to break

a border blockade that Israel and Egypt imposed when Hamas took over Gaza by force.. this

protest was organized by Hamas but it was fueled by Millions of the Gaza people who are

languishing in untold poverty. The protest also was heightened by the US relocation of its

embassy to Jerusalem. Palestinians look forward for East Jerusalem as its future capital. The

problem is that this area is annexed by Israel. P[Palestine president Mahmoud Abbas ordered

his envoy to Washington to move back to West bank as a sign of protest. anticipating major

number of Shifa had made an outdoor triage station kin the hospital ground. There were about

thirty beds and stretchers.in the course of the day Shifa received about 500 injured people. More

than 90 percent had gunshot wounds. 2192 of them needed surgery inclusive of 120 who

required orthopedic surgery. Hospitals in the region were in great need of assistance because of

the large number of casualties, who had reported.

This action by the Israeli government brought a swift backlash against them. Ireland and

Belgium summoned the Israeli ambassadors to question them about the Gaza violence. Belgium,

Ireland and Germany called for investigation about the violence. China asked Israel to show

restraint. Despite of this violence Hamas did not get any break though in shaking off the

blockade. A leading organizer of the protest said that the protest would take place again on June

fifth.

This conflict has brought the economy of Gaza to its knees. Its hard to run a industry in

this region for power is only available for four hours a day. People who have companies are

forced to shut them down.

May wrote about the relocation of the US from Tel Aviv to

Jerusalem. This article discussed on how to tell if a critic about Israel is anti-sematic or not. This

issue of Israel and anti-Semitism has brought so much heat in US and also in some European

countries. Tens of thousands of Gazans gathered at their territory boundary. The Gazans were

protesting against the loss of Palestinians homes. Most of them were unarmed but there were

some radicles who were burning tires. Israeli soldiers opened fire at these proctors killing more

than sixty Palestinians. Supporters of Palestinians called this action murder and massacre. this

has led to the ageless question without an answer of the battle which critism of Israel’s actions

leads to accusation of bias against Jews. Aratz Sheva accused the U.N. agency responsible of

aiding Palestinians of encouraging anti-Semitism. They cited a video shown on Fox news of

Palestinian children chanting that they wanted to go back to their original homelands which are

now occupied by Israel. Hospitals in this region are in dire need of economic help. They need

medicine more surgeons. With the current state of events no one in his sane mind would venture

to invest in this war torn zone.

The year 2018 will go down in the annals of history of Israeli. The US government under

President Donald Trump moved its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. This affirmed the US

recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israeli. Donald Trump on Dec 2017 said, “Today we

finally acknowledge the obvious: that Jerusalem is the capital of Israeli,” this went against US

foreign policy. This new turn of events has brought [pride and peril to the Israelis. The embassy

move Tel Aviv to Jerusalem has brought an escalation of the “shadow war” with Iran Israelis

most formidable adversary in the middle east. Thousands of Palestinians are trying to cross to

Israeli.

Hamas are encouraging Palestinians to cross over. On the other hand Israeli snip[per are

shooting them down, scores of Palestinians have been killed and others wounded. Tom Segev an

author of Ben Gull ion biography states that “ if you look at it from outside you’d see the most

successful dramatic success stories of the twentieth century. Palestinians are forced toaccept the

uprooting of their olives, violence by settlers who are now Israelis. Iosraeli now is controlling the

Jordan valley and utilizing it for its economic growth.

attacks against us” he said this amid barrage of rockets fired at Gaza border. He said that Israeli

will exert heavy price on those who were are planning Israelis. He blamed Hamas for the firing

of rockets. Following Netanyahu speech sources said that IDF had hit several outposts in Gaza as

opposed to the areas closer to the Gaza border where most bombings are usually concentrated.

indication of their intentions. A slight damage had been made when a missile hit a kindergarten.

Rescue workers said that one Israeli was injured during this attack. Sources put that barrage of

rockets fired at Israel throughout that morning was the work of Islamic Jihad, which had

acquired permission from Hamas to attack Israel. The jihad group had carried out threats that’s

it’s going to avenge the death of its three terrorists.

Conclusion

In conclusion the recent events in this region have brought detrimental impact on the

economy of the Gaza strip. Prime Minister Netanyahu has gone forward to ask for donors to aid

in raising up this region. Israel on its part uses its money or mostly defense instead of other types

of investments. There is that money that it uses on rehabilitation of the rocket struck zones. This

recent events should be looked upon with a sobre mind to avoid stagnation of the Gaza strip.
