Topic 1: Global issues and ethical consideration
3B:
The first important lesson which is learn form the action of the teachers in question is
need for unity among different groups and communities. In addition, the teacher in the question
can be used as a role model in explaining the extended role that teachers need to emulate. One of
the most important aspect of teaching that can be used to in achieving this is through the
illustration of the role that teachers need to develop in conducting their role. This shows the
extended role of a teacher that goes beyond just the teaching and classroom guidance. This
information can be availed to teachers all over the world to solve different conflicts from the
larger understanding of the role of teacher beyond the classroom. The role played by the teachers
in this case can also be used in indicating the specific responsibilities that a teacher can have in
changing the world. The information here can be used in solving the international conflicts that
exist in education and other different fields. The information from this case can be used by
leaders globally for solving different kinds of conflicts relating to misunderstanding and
prejudice on the basis of social groupings and race.
The information from this scenario can be availed to teachers and the general public
globally in shaping the understanding of the greater masses to help in solving such conflicts in a
greater scale using the teacher as the role model that others need to copy. In addition, through
making this information available and urging young people to copy the teacher in question, the
young generation will be able to have a totally different mind into adulthood which might help in
ending the future conflicts of the same nature. The example that the teacher set can be used by
the international communities to end the ever global conflict that exit on the basis of social,
economic, environmental and political scenario. It can be used as a reflection of need for peace
and unity among the different communities and nations. From the scenario, means of conflict
resolutions methods can be drawn with a closer examination of the role that the teachers play in
this case. Most people are able to relate this case to their individual situations and come up with
different ways of conflict resolution but most importantly bringing peace.
List of actions
In ending the problem of pollutions individual citizens must stand to be responsible of
their respective means of waste disposal. Relating the environment to the conscious
mind of managing waste needs everyone to be aware of the benefits that are associated
with waste management. To attain this, it is necessary for everyone to ensure that they
collect and dispose waste in the best possible way.
The government need to regulate the amount of waste from industries that are
responsible for polluting the environment
The industries and companies needs to employ pollution management measures within
their organizations.
Environmental related agencies in different countries need to create awareness on the
effects of environmental pollutions and sensitize the general public on means of keeping
their environments free from pollution.
Learning institutions both at lower and higher levels need to teach about pollution, and
environmental conversation to equip the learners with different ways of managing their
environment and reducing pollution and its effects.
Integrating conservation in most community activities and events. The government
agencies concerned with issue of environmental conservation can incorporate different
ways of pollution control in different communal activities and events such as a sports,
weddings and social events to help mitigate the issue of pollutions at the lower levels.
The sovereign power lies with the people. However, the government is the custodian of that
power. It is the responsibility of the people to ensure that the government, the people in power
and the institution charged with the different responsible. Therefore, People have the moral
responsibility of taking action if the government or any leadership responsible for taking the
action on the issue of pollution. Environmental conservation is a collective responsibility of the
citizens of a given country. However, the government is usually the custodian of the environment
in every country. As such, in situation where the government is belittling or fails to act on the
issue of environmental pollution it is the responsibility of the people or citizens of a give country
to come out and advocate by compelling the government to take the responsibility and protest the
environment for pollution. The people have the responsibility of completing the institution and
the others people in power to meet the set goals of environmental conservation.
The example of protest at climate summit 2017 in Bonn COP 23 were unsuccessful due to
insufficient stake holder incorporation. Few member of the climate change summit were
incorporated into the protests and as such much of the goals of the protest were not achieved as a
planned. In addition, there was a conflict of interest in the summit during the protest.
3C
The three examples where people have stood against wrong includes: protest for gun control in
US following school shootings, protects shooting of the back youth by the police and the women
march in January 2017. Collectively their main reason for protects was failure or negligence on
the side of the government and other institution to take full responsibilities of their
responsibilities in ensuring that the citizens were safe. Depending on the individual nature of the
event which led to the protest the government was in the view of the protesters seen to have
failed in meeting the expectation of protecting the rights of the different groups which were
affected by the activity which prompted the protest for instance, in following the rampant
shooting is schools both the students and the public decided to protest. These groups of people
decided to act the way they did from the feeling of dissatisfaction from their leaders who they
felt need to be compelled into doing more to end the issues of concern. I would have acted the
same way. This I feel would push the government into considering changing the laws concerning
the issue under question. In addition, this would also bring to the knowledge other individuals
who were initially not aware of the issue.
Civil disobedience such as boycotting and or picketing can be used in solving global
problems today. This is one moat important means of compelling the government to right issue
of a global concern such as an environmental destruction or discrimination based on any other
aspect of humanity. Civil disobedience creates an understanding of need for a reform on the side
of government. Diplomacy is other means which can be used in creating change. In this strategy
a given respective of the people of citizens are selected and gets into a conservation aimed at
persuading the government to bring change cornering a global issue such as discrimination or
any form or wrong doing.
