existence. People around the world from whichever age group watch movies for relaxation or
entertainment, especially during leisure. Movies come in various genres. Consequently, the tastes
and preferences of people on movies vary from fiction to thriller, action, comedy, documentaries,
romance, and horror, among others. Actors play a crucial role in any movie. They are expected to
exhibit given real talents and stand for a given role in the movie. Be it James Bond in the ‘70s,
Sylvester Stallone in the ‘80s, or Arnold Schwarzenegger in the ‘90s, hit movies were built on
such characters that seemed omniscient and omnipotent. There are various factors that contribute
towards making a movie good.
The storyline is the most important factor that makes a good movie. The theme of the
movie should be easy to understand and presented using a very simple plot. The audience must
take some lessons at the end of it all. The theme will be incorporated into the story in a subtle,
but clever way that will get the audience carried away. The audience will be guided into feeling a
certain way or developing a given mood about the whole account. The movie should end up
achieving its objective while blending with the opinions and expectations of the audience. The
storyline will shape the plot (Young, S. 2016). Therefore, a good storyline will make the movie
more acceptable.
The choice of actors and their role contributes a lot towards the acceptability of a movie.
Actors or characters in a movie are crucial in the development of the plot. Most movies tend to
have a protagonist that the audience will tend attach themselves to. The audience ought to
develop feelings towards the characters they see. They can like or hate them. The actors should
