HEALTH ASSESSMENT 3
Prioritizing Program
The phrase ‘picking your battles’ is used in identifying things that are worthy for one
to spend his or her time and resources on. When handling community and public health
issues, emphasis should be put on the things that are beneficial. An analysis should be carried
out to determine the exact benefits that the program would have on the community. Matters
should be arranged in their order of priorities to enable the plans with higher benefits to
having better chances of kick off.
Components of a Health Program Planning
For every health program to be successful, proper preparation is necessary. Certain
components that are essential for the planning comprise assessment of resources and needs,
data analysis and plan design. Assessment of resources and needs entails describing the
resources to be included, outlining the method of data collection and feedback. Data analysis
includes data synthesis, developing of priorities and preparation of a report from the collected
data. Plan design entails the actual planning for sustainable development of the program.
Findings and Recommendations
Researchers in the past have carried out researches and provided reports on Asthma
and allergies in Dallas Tx. Health assessments have also been done in details concerning the
same. National Institute of health (2012) identified the links between asthma a, social
problems and comorbid conditions. The study recommended the funding of asthma studies
and clinic-based counseling and treatment for asthma patients in early stages. Social issues
such as allergies and sleep problems were also linked to increased asthma attacks. Solutions
such as minimal dust roads and healthy living conditions should be considered in
implementing programs aimed at solving asthma issues.
