Healthcare Humanities Course
The society is evolving at a much faster rate than before, and that changes that come with
the evolution needs to be lauded for their diversity they bring in the system of education. One of
the courses that has been introduced into the modern curriculum is Healthcare Humanities
course, and it is prudent that students be encouraged to take the course so as to be able to fit in
the modern dynamic society. As a student of Healthcare Humanities, there are various lessons
that I learnt, and which helped me to acquire critical skills in my future profession, one of such is
that I learnt to make meanings of the way people behave and how to influence the welfare of
patients to respond to treatment. There are a times that patients do not respond to the treatments
that they are beings given, and doctors and physicians are also unaware of the hidden problems
affecting patients. However, studying healthcare humanities helps physicians to know causes of
lack of response of patients to the drugs that they are given which in turn leads to a better
healthcare.
