NURSING2
In Germany, when one is unemployed, young, or retired the healthcare coverage program
does not change, they are given all that is required when they get sick or need medical attention.
In the United States the when one is unemployed, the health insurance policy is terminated from
them hence making it hard for them access healthcare services other than directly paying for
them. Also, the children and the retired people do not have an insurance policy that covers their
healthcare services, especially those that are not included with Medicare and Medicaid.
According to Alley (2016)When a person is retired but not at the age of 65, they are not eligible
for Medicaid until they are above 65 which is very different in Germany where all the citizens
are under the insurance policy of health despite them being unemployed, retired, poor or young.
The healthcare systems of Germany and the United States have common policies and
differences at the same time. Germany has a well-grown economy in the world, and it has
classified its healthcare as a socialized system. The government of Germany does give healthcare
services to its citizens that are the young ones, poor, old, sick people, and those injured. The
socialized healthcare system was founded by chancellor Otto Von Bismarck that was to enable
the people got access to medical services when they needed them, and this was put into law as
sickness insurance act that would cover the social insurance program. The health care in the
United States is run by the private sector which owns some percentage and the government that
holds a smaller share as private health insurance and some deliver it through public health care
coverage that is Medicare and Medicaid.
