How Is Bible True?
The New York Times article “Democrats in New York State Reconcile after Years of
Infighting” addresses the issue of reconciliation and unity. According to Shane Goldmacher,
Senator Jeffrey leader main party of Democrats and Senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins leader of
IDC agreed to a deal that would help unite Democrats in New York State Senate. Reunification
of the Democrats is important since it would help Democrats win elections over the Republicans.
Settling issues and reuniting are given insight by, the prodigal son, a story in the Bible. Most
teachings in the Bible have influenced how people are living in the modern world. In this article,
the writer is trying to highlight why unity is more important than division. Reconciliation
between mainline Senate Democratic and Independent Democratic Conferences shows that the
Bible is true.
According to the article, the war between the Democrats affects all people in New York
by affecting policies and other issues like the pocketbook. An alliance between Republicans and
IDC is termed weak in the current political climate due to lack of support of open-mindedness
(Al and Bill, 457). The main cause of conflict is the positions of power held by IDC and
Republicans (Al and Bill, 457). The alliance is the weakest in the country, activists have
launched primaries to why independent parties should be dissolved (Knowles, 101). Both parties
have a history of breaking agreements; republican failed an alliance with mainline democrats
while IDC has also failed some parties a few years ago (Al and Bill, 457). The story of the
prodigal son and the father illustrates the differences between people and the reasons that
separate people. It shows that conflicts and disagreements are common issues facing people
living together (Martin, 28).

The leader of the alliance, Mr. Cuomo, has illustrated his will to reunite the two parties
by offering a deal that would ensure both parties hold a position in making decisions. The deal is
to make Stewart-Cousins the sole democratic leader and Mr. Klein the deputy (Knowles, 106).
Despite the conflicts, the leaders of the two parties have resolved their conflicts by agreeing to
the terms of the deal. Stewart-Cousins and Jeffrey shook hands as a sign of reconciling that was
common when the father accepted his lost son back despite his mistakes (Martin, 54). As the
father demonstrated readiness to reconcile with his son, Mr. Klein showed readiness to work
with the other faction by stressing that reconciliation cannot wait till elections. This shows that
forgiveness and reconciliation is a thing of the past and still influences the present world.
For reconciliation to occur both parties must be ready to forget their interests and to
forgive one another (Martin, 52) _by having a common interest and a common goal.
Commitment and forgiveness are part of reconciliation. The story of the Prodigal son inspires
people to forget their challenges by looking for ways that help them work together. For the
Democrats to win a Senate majority, most leaders across the state must unite despite their racial
differences. The discussion between Mr. Klein and members of IDC shows total commitment to
the deal that would solve the disagreements. Despite some leaders like Mr. Felder disputing the
deal, leaders of both parties are determined to resolve their issues by forgetting the past and
doing what is right for the people of New York.
In conclusion, most contexts in the Bible are the key to many issues affecting people
today. Reunification of Democrats would help solve various propositions opposed by the
Republicans. The Bible helps humans to avoid difficult situations that were experienced by
people in ancient times by facing challenges in a strong manner. With the story of Prodigal son,
people are encouraged to forgive one another as a way of reuniting them. When people live

together, they must learn to ask for forgiveness and to forgive those who may have wronged
them as a way of maintaining peace among them.
