Interview with Donald Trump’s Voters
Introduction
An interesting article by the BBC highlighted the unwavering support for President
Trump among his supporters amidst speculations and media reports that they might be
abandoning him. According to the BBC news (2018), approximately 35-38 percent of Americans
approve Trump’s administration. Besides, approximately eighty percent of Republicans
demonstrate their trust in President Trump (BBC, 2018). The article prompted my urge to
interview the President’s supporters and get their viewpoints on his administration. This paper
outlines the responses from the President’s supporters concerning his administration.
Resolute support for the president among his voters
Recent political speculations in America depict unpopularity of President Trump.
However, regarding the interview I conducted with his voters, most of them support him for
endorsing the culture confrontation that has been characteristic of Republican administrations
since the 1980s. Based on the interview, the president has earned the trust of his voters because
of his standpoint on illegal immigrants in America. Similar to the president, his voters consider
immigrants as a threat to employment opportunity for the Native Americans. Most voters of the
President support his opposition of the political establishment in the country. Trump has been on
numerous occasions a critic of the media and political establishment controlling diverse sectors
of America’s economy and political parties.
Support for America’s culture of confrontation or war
Since assumption of office, the president has approved confrontation with US enemies
and threats of war. Based on the interview, the president’s supporters approve his confrontational
