Introduction
Computers are at the center of making work easier. Computers devices enable the input
of data, processing of data, storage of the information processed and giving the output in the
form of processed information. The main purpose of this report is to present the analysis of the
importance of computer technology in learning and as a process that benefits people when
technology is used. Besides acting as a data entry and analysis device, the technology is also at
the center of ensuring that people communicate effectively and efficiently and that people derive
the best in terms of confidentiality and privacy of the computer technology (Wempen 2014,
p.15 ). This report also gives the main benefits of embracing technology in learning and the
advantage of applying computer technology in the general understanding and the general
development.
Computer technology is one of the technologies that have continued to define the
interphase in terms of communication. In learning, the students are able to conduct to research,
manage their time, and process their data to provide predictive information in the process. When
the correct data are used, the information obtained can be applied in the predictive systems as a
simulation of what is expected from the computer technology (Stair and Reynolds 2017, p. 12).
The computer-based programs are important in simulating the proper systems to help in
understanding the systems. The results that have been obtained from the analysis represent the
processing of data that the students can use in the predictive process and the decision-making
process.
From the analysis, essential processes can be developed with distinct formulae that
calculate various processes in the process. The module gives the formula of hours that are spent

in one day multiplied by the total days in a week. The end result is the total hours in one week.
This has been brought out in the picture below. The analysis focuses on the hours for all the
modules. In picture 1 below, the total number of hours spent reading by the individuals for the
entire period for the modules from module 1 to module 4.

Averaging has also been conducted using a formula that divides the total number of hours
by the number of the modules in the case of modules or divided by the number of weeks for the
weeks available. The averages have also been applied in the logical tests to indicates whether the
tests have occurred more than the set standards whether more effort is needed or whether the
time spent is a good effort. Picture 2 represents the case where the averages have been used to
compute the logical tests.

From the spreadsheets, formulas that calculate the averages have been applied and the logical
tests that show that if the average time is more than four hours, then there is a good effort
according to the best practice in the school. However, if the average value is less than 4 hours,
then more efforts need to be put by the student. This process is one of the essential processes and
the formulas that work towards ensuring that the correct prediction is made.
The benefit of using Microsoft office is that the software is fluent enough. The office has
an impeccable ability to build charts (Gandal, Markovich, & Riordan 2018, p. 2120). The office
has the ability to collect and analyze data. A perfect example is the excel that has the ability to
analyze most of the data and perform the logical tests. The Microsoft office is also important in
enabling the flexibility of work (Rienzo & Han 2009, p.20). This enables the sharing of business
files and enhances communications with different people. This also creates networks that are
necessary for the process. Microsoft office is also at the center of ensuring that there is proper

career prospect in the process (Kim et al., 2014, 633). The benefits enable the program to work
better and also function to ensure that the benefit due to flexibility is achieved.
Excel is one of the features of the Microsoft office that helps in the collation of data. This
is the process whereby the data is collected and analyzed using the Excel. The excel is part of the
Microsoft office that works by calculating the mathematical computations and quantifying the
activities of the data. The excel can predict the pattern and advice based on the logical tests that
are derived from various values in the data that been keyed in. The analysis of the data is at the
center of making critical decisions in the process of ensuring that various decisions are made.
Excel can help in enhancing academic work by helping in the planning of the academic
work. Planning for the time and planning for the resources to be applied is a necessary process in
learning (Richardson and Thies 2014, p. 39). The main feature of the MS. The office that has the
ability to influence the learning activities include the ability to plan the future in class and the
storage ability that enable the students to have a relook at various activities. The sporadic feature
of the system helps in understanding how the system works and the process that can be followed
in the system to achieve the best alternative. In learning, Microsoft office comes in handy as it
poses the ability of presentation of the various concepts through different programs in the
Microsoft office. The ability to excel in giving calculations present enough benefit that enables
the Microsoft office to be used in the calculations.
In oil and gas management, the modern technology allows for mapping of the resources
which is then essential in the mapping and geo-referencing of the resources. Exploration is also
made simple using the modern technology of mapping. The geospatial information systems that
are developed are at the center of ensuring that the resources are mapped a database has been

updated to include all the processes that are necessary for the exploration. Making an integrated
database for the resources ensure that the land resources are managed and planned in such a way
that enhances prudential exploration including mining of these resources where they have been
used.
The technology that geo-references is also important in ensuring that the managers follow
the correct process in planning for the technologies to be used in the exploration of the oil and
gas (Abid and Amjad 2015, p.20 ). Oil and gas are also natural resources that always lead to
conflicts in areas that they are found. In order to minimize the conflicts, the modern technologies
are at the center of ensuring that an integrated approach is obtained in the process. An integrated
process seeks to solve most of the conflicts by bringing together the land resources and
compensating for what cannot be eliminated. The technology promises to come up with a land
bank that makes it easier for people to reference and to refer to the banks for most of the details.
(Patterson and Hennessy 2013, p.21). However, the limitation of this integrated geographic
information systems technology is that it will leave out the conventional managers who are used
to the conventional methods of productions.
The invention that works by ensuring that oil and gas are processed faster and that the
markets are also identified by mapping the desired market is essential in the process, the
inventions are market-oriented and help in the management process (Prandi et al. 2015, p. 11).
Most of the inventions improve the interface with data entry, data analysis, and the output of the
information in the same process. The technological invention is at the center of ensuring that the
oil and gas industry obtains the best. However, it also has its limitations in the form of security of
the products and privacy of the production process.
INTRODUCTION TO COMPUTER SKILLS7
The second invention in technology involves the technology that involves the use of
modern computer technologies to ensure that there are production and refinery of oil and gas.
This technology tracks changes in the production process by ensuring that the correct
information is relayed and that there is proper planning for the gas and oil distribution (Dauth,
2014). The main advantage of this technology is that it makes the process faster compared to the
other conventional methods. However, the limitation of this method lies in its security as it can
be manipulated in the process of transport. Understanding the role of computers in oil and
exploration is one of the main processes that work towards ensuring that productivity is
enhanced by increasing the speed of production.
In conclusion, computers and advancement in the technologies are essential in the
learning process. Microsoft office helps in planning by using the software like excel which can
actually plan and predict the future based on the available data. They can also advise and help in
making decisions when logical tests are performed on computers. The technologies and
computers are also important in the modern workplace. In oil and gas exploration, a geo-
referenced technology can be applied to enhance exploration and to ensure that the planning and
the management of natural resources occurs. However, they have their limitations in the form of
the security and confidentiality developed from their applications.
