iPhone 8 Versus Samsung Galaxy S8
Both presenting remarkable limits of elegance and hallmarks of cell phone technological
advancement, the iPhone 8 and the Samsung Galaxy S8 stand out among the best and most
effective devices ever produced in their categories. They both process data at incredible speeds,
have wonderful cameras, enduring batteries, and are designed to give the best display compared
to those of previous versions of phones in their classes. It would be challenging to settle on one
of the two as better. However, various features possessed by the iPhone 8 make it a superior and
more prestigious over Samsung Galaxy S8. These include powerful cameras, an outstanding
processor, wireless recharging, and astonishing performance.
A characteristic review of Samsung Galaxy S8 casts it as a performer with many special
and effective features. Priced at an average $750, the gadget offers a 5.8 inches Super AMOLED
display system. Its central processing unit (CPU) is made up of a Snapdragon 835 system with an
internal memory of 64 gigabytes, which can be expanded to 256 gigabytes using a microSD.
While its rear camera functions with a clarity capture of 12 megapixels, the front one only
achieves 8 megapixels. The phone has a battery life of 10 hours and 36 minutes and weighs 5.5
ounces. An analysis of its performance by Hughes (2017) identified a number of features to boast
of over other phones. These encompass the edge to edge display with a smoothly curved OLED
screen and offers in midnight black, orchid gray, and arctic silver colors.
On the other hand, the iPhone 8 offers a 4.7 inches display in LCD, which is equally
wonderful. Its CPU functions on an A11 Bionic system that offers two versions for 64 gigabytes
and 256 gigabytes respectively. Both the versions have no slots for microSD memory
expansions. Like the Samsung Galaxy S8, its rear camera achieves a capture of 12 megapixels.
However, the front one only manages 7 megapixels. The colors on offer come in gold, silver, and

space grey. The iPhone 8 has a battery life of 9 hours 54 minutes in full functionality and weighs
5.22 ounces. iPhone 8 also boasts of a unique wireless recharging feature (Merchant, 2017).
A comparison of these two phones reveals that the iPhone 8 is still superior to the
Samsung Galaxy S8. Markedly, the latter outdoes the former in various spheres. The first of
these is the limitless display cast on Super AMOLED OLED compared to iPhone’s LCD. Second
is the battery life, which outdoes that of iPhone 8 by 45 minutes. Irrespective of the above, the
iPhone 8 still triumphs in the supremacy battle. Despite its rear camera bearing the same
megapixels with those of Samsung Galaxy S8 while the front one has lesser power, images
captured by the two still reveal that those of iPhone 8 are more spectacular and clearer. It would
be considered a disadvantage that the iPhone cannot use microSD memory; however, this feature
protects its system from viral attacks. Lastly, the processor far outdoes that of Samsung. While
iPhone 8’s processor can achieve 10,100 Geek benches, that of Samsung Galaxy S8 only
achieves 6,200 of the same.
In conclusion, the most defining features of quality in a phone are defined by its ability to
complete tasks. Both the iPhone 8 and the Samsung Galaxy S8 are great phones. The Galaxy S8
triumphs over the former in display and the expandability of internal memory via microSD.
However, performance, the power of cameras, and processing ability remain the most important
elements in the functionality of a phone. In all these areas, the iPhone 8 reigns. Additionally, it
has a wireless recharging system, which its competitor lacks.
