Abstract
Some global nations have the technical ability to generate nuclear energy. One such nation is Iran
that seems to strive to acquire technical know-how in harnessing nuclear power. However, such capacities
are available in and sanctioned by major world powers. After the intense negotiations for the world’s top
six powers involving the UK, France, Germany, the US, China, and Russia, they agreed on the JCPOA
(the joint comprehensive plan of action) in resolving the stalemate of nuclear regarding Iran in 2015, July.
The deal offered verifiable assurances where the material of fissile in Iran would not be dissuaded
towards the purpose of weaponization. This is the utmost ideals on the fissile inspections with
transparency continually negotiated while lifting UN and US nuclear sanctions towards Iran. This
agreement seems to be applauded by a transnational community then validated by the safety resolution for
UN council. This paper aims to analyze Iran’s negotiation on the nuclear deal and the Middle East.
Introduction
The negotiations between major powers and Iran seem to be constricted in scope since it focuses
on limiting the Iran nuclear program in exchange with economic sanctions reliefs. However, the deal
produced has wider implications for the region dispersed with the local conflicts which seem exacerbated
by regional powers interventions. The experts seem to weigh on the way the states of the Middle States
and the non-state actors seem to calibrate the policies and the new landscape in the region signify the
conflicts from the Levant to Yemen. The JCPOA does not announce the arrival of Iran as the regional
hegemon but something minimal amongst the elite of Tehran in deciding as they think Iran has the
military or ideological capacity for its success. The leaders of Iran also understand that there may be a
minimal appetite for the aggressive posture between the population fatigued by war with the neighbors
and the world power’s hostile relations. The Iranian proponents ‘agreement argues that regardless of
limitations instituted on the nuclear program of a country, the deal improves the security of Iran while
consolidating the regional power.
