Marketing Reflection
The presentation focused on the details of a marketing major that entail the
topics of consumer behavior, business to business marketing, international
marketing, marketing research, integrated marketing strategy strategy and four
electives of an individuals choice. Some of the popular electives are digital classes
that include social media and mobile marketing. Tech and Marketing is a technical
class that entails knowledge on HTML and CSS. Search engine marketing is also
covered that include marketing strategies for Google search engine. The last scope
of digital classes is data science for marketing. Advertising as an elective entails
account management, brand management, product innovation and sports
marketing.
The different heads of department and instructors are introduced. Most of
whom are quite experienced in the marketing field. After undertaking the
marketing major, some of the knowledge gained entail marketing terminology and
concepts, digital and content marketing, consumer behavior and marketing
research, marketing strategy in the US and international market and also the ethical
and legal issues involved in marketing.
Some of the skills developed after going through the course include:
research and identity with the marketing ecosystem. One will also be able to think
creatively and critically and in the process be able to identify and solve problems.
