Music
The Blues refers to a musical genre that has its roots from the African American
communities. It is a combination of work songs, spirituals, shouts and even chants. Many
musicians like Clapton, and the Beetles embraced it fully, and managed to entertain a large
number of people with their expertise. They have been identified as some of the sole musicians
that recognize and appreciate the importance of the blues. However, John Mayer’s music is
currently the best new craftsman of the Blues. He establishes blues from pop subjects and brings
out an enigmatic feeling to the blues’ audience. Most of his techniques are significantly related to
blues music, beginning with his expertise in playing the guitar, and the motion with which his
music is played. His association with other legendary blue musicians is also an added advantage
to his career in playing blue music.
Most of the songs by John Meyer, are a subject of pop, which he then modifies to blue
music. One of the most common pop subjects among his songs is Love heartbreak. He has
managed to translate it to a calmer song that is pleasant to the heart, as well as passes a specific
meaning to the listeners. His style of playing the guitar has also been heavily influenced by some
of the best blues music artists like Stevie Ray Vaughan. Open tuning is one of the most common
ways associated with creating different chords on the guitar, meant to turn the guitar into an open

chord. The blue music produced by John is also very harmonic and contains a language that is
melodic.
Eric Clapton has managed to achieve a very outstanding musical career. He is identified
as a rock God when it comes to playing the guitar. The guitar musicians before him used the rock
guitar as a Chuck Berry technique or rock ability sound, before it was modernized by people like
Keith Richards. Eric made an effort of learning and mastering both techniques to fully
comprehend the rock guitar after which he infused with electric blues. He learnt most of his
styles from some of the pundits like Buddy Guy, BB King, and Hubert Sumlin. His hard work
has made him achieve some of the greatest sounds as the lead guitar in the rock and roll music of
today. He was considered as a purist man. This is because his earlier days were associated with
wild music.
Clapton was bold enough to switch the amp to an 11. This is something that had never
been done in the previous time. He also moved the locale of the microphone from the amp to the
other side in the recording studio. Erick allowed a deep sense of anger, passion and frustration to
build within him, and propel him to produce even better music. One of his most famous hit is
“Crossroads,” which features him playing a guitar in the best way possible and within the
specified time. Aggression and anger were heard in his songs because he was not yet well
acquainted with singing. However, there was a drastic amount of difference in the sound he
produced after learning some of the best ways of singing. The aggression and the anger
previously experienced suddenly disappeared and he produced a rather stable rock and roll sound
that was more controlled.
Clapton changes the guitar in the rock and roll. He placed a lot of emphasis on being the
lead guitarist as well as established a need for producing true and pure lyrics. Individuals

interested in learning the guitar need to consider some of the techniques deployed by Clapton to
help them with the process. Old sounds like “Steppin Out,” can play a big role in the learning
process of a beginner. Learning Erick Clapton’s ways together with the musical influences will
help any individual significantly with their journey to coordinate sound.
