MY GROUPS IN MY LIFE 2
My Groups in my Life
The Purpose of the Groups
My children and friends are the two most important groups. The purpose of these two
groups as follows. The purpose of my children is to bring value and determination to my life as
they remind me of my responsibilities to take care of them. My children also have a purpose in
enabling me to extend my love and work hard to better their lives in future. My friends, on the
other hand, are important because they bring change and growth to my life through
encouragement and their ability to help in solving problems.
Function of Both Groups
The two groups have distinct functions, which enhance positivity in my life. My children
enhance the bond between a parent and children, which brings a sense of purpose in life.
Significantly, my older children assume parental roles when I am away since I am a single
mother. My children also help with house chores and other activities at home. The functions of
my friends include the strengthening of bonds characterized by loyalty, honesty, sympathy, love,
and kindness. Friends are also essential to me since I can express my feelings to them without the
fear of judgment. Friends also provide a warm company, especially during stressful moments.
The Structure of Both Groups
I have four children; one girl and three boys. My boys play basketball, football, and
baseball. I, therefore, take the full responsibility of raising my children and allowing them to
focus on their passion in life. Consequently, this means that I support this group in every activity
that they engage in. Furthermore, I have two close friends with whom I share all my secrets and
other information affecting my life. I also have several friends at work and in my class with
whom we share relevant knowledge and skills to improve our nursing expertise.
