defines destiny and thus I never wanted to go astray from my career path. I have recently focused
on improving my art skills and expertise through computer designing. I can presently develop
layouts of pictures and texts based on different styles, colors, and sizes. Importantly, easy access
to museums in the United States has helped me in learning new things every day. I believe I will
soon modernize both the Chinese and American arts.
However, the journey in pursuance of my career ambitions has also been rough at times.
My father, a lawyer by profession, opposed my desire to major in art. He said he could not invest
his substantial amount of money on a person majoring in arts. In fact, I feared his threats, and I
chose to major in Business. However, last year, I attended a graduation ceremony of my cousin
graduating with an Entertainment Design course. It was amazing when I saw him stand in front
of her artworks. I realized that was my passion too. She inspired me to pursue my desire and
engage in my interests because I solely hold my future. His encouragements helped me to realize
that discouragements and failure are two of the surest stepping-stones to success and thus I
decided to dedicate all my efforts in arts.
I feel energized and happy engaging in arts. I cannot deny that art makes my life
meaningful and I seek to improve my skills every day because my goal is to be an excellent
graphic designer. My teacher believes in my ability and appreciates my expertise in painting and
layout planning. In my experience, I agree with Mintz (n.p.) that individuals who build and attain
their biggest dreams are those that have determination and discipline in transforming their
current unpleasant situations to support their ambitions. Therefore, I believe the sky is my limit,
and I am going to pursue my education in graphic designing not only to satisfy my career goals
but also to serve the society. My dream is to start a bakery with my design of posters, packaging,
and store so that I can bring new perception and image in the Art field. I believe that with moral
