Physical Therapy
Physical therapy is a profession which involves the interaction between the physical
therapist and the patient. In some cases, physical therapy can be referred to as physiotherapy; this
health profession consists of the use of mechanical movements and force, exercises,
electrotherapy, manual therapy and other forms of physical therapy that is used to improve the
health and well-being of a person. In some cases, this interaction might also involve other health
care providers, the family of the patient and even the entire community. In this reflection paper, a
discussion about the observations that have been made on the professional behavior and the
activities that are undertaken by a physical therapist in helping to relieve the patient’s pain is
developed. The clinical experiences I got from the observation has an impact on the decision that
I make on my career path as a physical therapist.
Physical therapists use MRI to get better ideas on the situation that the patient is in before
they can apply the therapy. Even though the use of MRI before treatment is expensive, the
patients can always get better results and can get healed more easily. However, in some case, the
MRI can be misleading, the results that are obtained from the MRI needs to be put under scrutiny
by the physical therapist before he or she uses them to apply treatment. Physical therapy can be
used to treat different kinds of pain including; headaches and back pains. Statistics show that
many people have turned into physiotherapy as the ultimate treatment for pain. The physical
