PROFESSIONAL LEADERSHIP PLAN. 3
assessing the quality of education offered to their children and the learning environment. Each
community member will have a responsibility of ensuring that the school offers an education that
will benefit their children. This goal will be accomplished by involving experienced community
members in preparation of learning resources.
Implementing the mentioned changes in the learning environment will have various
benefits. Engaging the parents in decision making provides a vast integration between them and
the school (Hartman, 2017). Thus, the parents feel as being part of the school. When parents feel
closely associated with the school, they tend to be more concerned about the education and
progress of their children. Enhancing school and parent partnerships through creation of a board
of trustees gives the community a direct responsibility over the school. Each trustee has a role in
ensuring proper running of the school. As such, all trustees have a personal contact with the
school. Involving the parents in school assessment helps to develop a good relationship between
them and the school. Each parent has a way of ensuring quality education is being offered by the
school. The idea of engaging experienced community members in the review of learning
resources ensures community participation in bringing educational change.
Evaluations are required to assess the implemented changes. The school will have a sheet
for filling and appending signatures whenever community members participate in the process of
reviewing some learning materials. The sheet will show the number of times that members have
participated in such an activity and the dates. School and community partnerships will be
evaluated based on direct assessing whether the school has taskforces to oversee various
activities. For instance, each trustee member will be a chair of a committee. Thus, the presence
of committees and the work done by each committee will be used to indicate if the school has a
well-developed partnership with the community. Direct observation will be used to evaluate
