Antony, computers cannot handle things they have not seen many times before. The presenter
seemed to be much worried about the future of human jobs. According to him, the future of any
single job will depend on the extent to which the job is reducible to frequent, high volume tasks
and the degree to which it will involve tackling a novel situation. He seemed to pity his niece
because when she is looking for a job, maybe everything will have been automated. The speaker
made proper use of visual elements like slides, projectors, models, etc. Body movement was well
maintained, and he involved the audience from the start to the end. The presentation was
informative and inspiring (Goldbloom).
3. Talk 3: How we will find life on other planets.
Aomawa Shields did the presentation in March 2015. An informative representation brings light
to have concerning how people can survive on other planets. The speaker explains the reasons as
to why life is utterly unbearable in Venus given that its temperature is close to 500 degrees
Celsius. Most importantly, the speaker said she uses computer software to calculate the kind of
atmosphere a planet would need to have to support the climate for water and life. She used visual
elements such as the planet models, icebergs on the surface of the ocean and even colored arrows
to illustrate the directions. The presentation was so lovely and adopted the audience from the
start to the end. This presentation influenced me with a lot of knowledge because afterwards, I
could visualize how the planet likeKepler-62f appears. The speaker had a very nice start by
giving the audience a smile, providing clear illustrations by use of visual elements such as model
planets, she kept on moving from point to point to reach all the audience. The presentation was
the best among the three.
