Introduction
The purpose of this project is to determine the advantages of using musical therapy in
helping patients with Alzheimer's disease to gain back their memory. Dementia, which is
often a result of the Alzheimer's disease, causes the deterioration of the brain thus causing
memory loss. Music therapy allows various parts of the brain to integrate and work together.
However, more research is required to determine the connection between musical therapy and
memory gain in those who have Alzheimer's disease.
Literature Review
The methods of research that will be used are both qualitative and quantitative. The study
will need to be carried out to determine the number of people that have Alzheimer's disease
each year in the United States. Also, sources that explain the different methods used in the
treatment of the disease will be used. Moreover, sources such as journals that describe the
various forms of music therapy and their connection to the human brain will be used.
Methodology
The sampling method will be used in carrying out an experiment on the effect of music
therapy on those with Dementia. The project design will involve interactions between voice
owners and the participants. The data collection methods that will be used include one survey
and an observation to ensure that music therapy has no risks and that the participants are
comfortable with the study.
Discussion
The findings of the research will help in determining whether music therapy should be
used in the treatment of those with Alzheimer's disease. Also, since the study focuses on
helping people affected by Alzheimer's disease, the research will help recognize whether such
