Black Swan
The Black Swan is a psychological horror movie. The film explains the psychological impact
that result from depression. In the films, the actress suffered serious mental illness. In Black
swan film Natalie Portman (Nina) stars as a dancer but later finds herself in a competitive
situation with a woman from the rival company. The new competitor to Natalia is Mila Kunis
(Lily) who provides serious competition. Nina got overwhelmed by the pressure and loses her
ground to being weak in her performances. This shows that she was suffering from acute stress
when she had mixed anxiety about the performance Lily. The film also indicates Nina felt
dejected and lost self-esteem when dancing. This is F60.0 Paranoid personality disorder the case
when Nina was suffering from hallucination and lost ground in the competition.
The horror movie is depressing and emotional at the same time. The movie is a tear jerker and it
makes any person watching to be very emotional and depressed. The movie also shows that
Natalia was delusional because her mother always wants to protect her from any danger. The
film represents Natalie’s psychic odyssey to attaining artistic perfection. She gave a good
performance of a white swan but could not epitomize black swan. The new dancer Lily did
embody the Black Swan and this made Nina be worried. This made Nina have hallucinations
knowing that there was the likelihood that the new dancer will top her in the competition. She
was suffering from hallucinogen persisting perception disorder.

One Hour Photo
Robin Williams was a photo technician at One-Hour Photo store. The film shows a man who is a
perfectionist and feels lonely. He is mentally unstable and attacks a family after realizing the
family secrets but later turns out to be tragic. Most of his time is consumed by his job at the One-
Hour Photo store and this could not provide the opportunity to have quality time socially.
Because of loneliness, he admires the longtime customer Yorkin family photos. This was later
rebuffed because Robin was a shy man and could not easily relate to other people. He later
managed to make friends with Nina Yorkin but later fired by his boss because of excessive
printing of photos using his machine. He was obsessed with the family and kept photos of the
Yorkin family in his house. The films show how depression can be very dangerous to any person
is not controlled and managed. He was suffering from adult antisocial behavior disorder because
he could not socialize with others.
The movie shows Robin Williams suffers from the depressive and mental disorders. Using
Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders it’s very clear that Robin is suffering from
mental illness because of Personal history (past history) of sexual abuse in childhood considering
how the father used him for pornography. Robin has DSM 5 depression disorder F16.983
hallucinogen persisting perception disorder. He suffers from mental illness which prompted him
to attack Will and Maya using a knife and a camera in their hotel room. The detectives
discovered Robin's obsession with Yorkin's family and realized that he had a mental problem
because his father used him for child pornography. This explains why he had to take the photos
of children and use the photos to send threats to the family
