Question 1
Two Worlds Colliding is a film that focuses on the relationship that exists between
Aboriginal Canadians and the Saskatoon police force. It implies that once two things collide,
there is always damage and later the repair activities can start. However, when the collisions
are continuous, repairs cannot be done. Therefore, the damages may continue to worsen.
Thus it concentrates on the collisions that exist between Native Canadians and the non-Native
Canadians through the police force (Tasha 2005). The film is mainly centered in Saskatoon.
Question 2
The filmmaker was observing some aspects that had gone wrong in the society. While
the police force is supposed to be an independent body that safeguards all people in a nation,
it had turned out that they had become racist and were killing Aboriginals carelessly and
mercilessly. Additionally, the filmmaker was observing the death of Rodney Naistus,
Lawrence Wegner and Neil Stone child who are all Aboriginals (Tasha 2005).
Question 3
The filmmaker was asking several questions about the strange deaths and
mistreatment that were evident in the region (Tasha 2005). These questions include;
Why is it that only the Aboriginals disappear and then are found frozen in the cold
outside the town?
Why were there claims that Wegner wandered out of the city and died of the cold
while his socks were clean and in good condition which shows that he had not
wandered as said?
As the two police officers claim that Darrel Night had asked them to drop him off,
how comes it happened to two more people Naistus and Lawrence the same night?
3
Why is it that after all the deaths that have happened, the police claim not to have
found enough evidence?
Question 4
The filmmaker strived hard to establish and show the root cause of the Aboriginal
killings in Canada by the police. The aspect of unveiling the police as the killers was also
important to the filmmaker (Tasha 2005). This shows the administrative evils that exist
within the police forces in Canada.
Question 5
The filmmaker is known as Tasha Hubbard and was not part of the film. However,
she used a different audience to portray her presence in the film.
Question 6
I gained a lot of insight from the film because I was able to identify the root causes of
evils in the society begin right at the administrative level. Additionally, I learned that it may
be difficult to identify and capture the wrongdoers especially those who are in administrative
positions (Tasha 2005). However, administrative units should be addressed right from the top
leadership down to the common citizens.
Question 7
The filmmaker asks about individual opinions about the film. Personally, I think the
film is depressing as there is seemingly no hope. Every step that is taken to identify the root
causes of deaths is countered by some hindrances to investigations (Tasha 2005). The film
states that it is more likely for an aboriginal to be in jail than finish high school. This shows
the levels of racism and rejection that exists in the county.

Question 8
My observations and recommendations are that the administrative sector needs to be
reconstructed deeply and urgently. The policymakers should make sure that all officers are
vetted from time to time and their performance measured so as to reduce acts of racism and
exploitation in the country (Tasha 2005). Additionally, once criminal officers are captured,
they are supposed to face severe punishment so as to serve as examples to others in the
society. This way, the policy-making sector will be rectified once and for all.
