LIFE WITHOUT RAPE
The exposure of rape survivors often feels like a "second assault" in many occasions;
these behaviors are overt in many cases as the survivors hold the persons' responsibility for the
assault, doubt the survivors' authenticity, stories, or even lessen the seriousness of the crime. In
many occasions, the victimization happens when these survivors are denied the need for desired
services. The world would be a different place without rape and the relationship with strangers
would change widely.
Speaking about the assault is often unfavorable consequences for the for rape survivors as
they are subjected to additional trauma at the hands of the very populace to whom they turn to
for help. Unenthusiastic reactions, therefore, serve negative reactions as victims who initially
speak out about may consider this decision and opt not to speak about their experience. A
reaction that is negative such as blaming, denial for help as well as being denied to stop talking
about the assault experience often squash rape survivors' voices, therefore, rendering them as
powerless (Snyder 220).A world without rape would be a good place as sexual violence is
profoundly negative as well as traumatic with widespread sociological and psychological effects
on the victims irrespective of their gender. Rape results in a wide range of adverse emotions,
embarrassment as well as existential questions. Life without rape would significantly reduce

women freedom as well as occupational opportunities that would affect their long-term
psychological well-being.
The world today is flawed and has imparted its flaws to us although we can do better. We all
have the opportunity to change this world's norms as well as definitions and hopefully by the
time we have children and grandchildren they will enjoy growing up in a safer and a more
exclusive society where we respect each others' consent.
