developments are anything to go by, then the immigration rules that the current regime is in

Impact on the Immigrant Sending and Receiving Societies
In as much as the free movement of the people should be encouraged, it is also
imperative to take due diligence and proceed with caution. Immigration is a live concept that
poses a big challenge to the governments and authorities all over the world. People often
immigrate illegally to seek better opportunities in other countries where the quality of life is
advanced. This makes it a big challenge to the authorities in that in line with the fundamental
rights of the people and the advocacy of special groups such as the United Nations (UN), they
have to treat these people fairly and humanely even when the resources to facilitate the same
are hard to come by.
The regularization of the rights of the people to move to any part of the world without
restriction would imply that the immigrant-receiving societies will have to be prepared for
huge influxes. In as much as they would be welcome to go to their favored destinations, the
receiving societies will have to deal with the threat of a burst in human populations and their
resources may be suffocated in the process. On the other end, the immigrant-sending societies
will also have to prepare for huge numbers of outgoing populations, so much so that by the
end of the day, it will be difficult to get the right numbers of people with competent labor,
