Planned Parenthood also suffers a blow because of the removal of the free birth control
especially those families which do not have financial capabilities to buy by themselves.
However, it was still arguable whether the companies will offer their employees a cover for birth
control. Another major concern is whether it is the role of the women to pay for deductibles to
the company while also catering for other costs which include copays (Stevenson, p.855). There
is also the difficulty associated with the fact that failure by the government to pay for IUD's on
behalf of the citizens will lead to an increase in prices. The reason for the argument is that the
government will start taxing the companies that produce them, making it hard for thousands of
women to afford them. Notably, there is the moral issue associated with the reasons why some
governments in the developed nations find it hard to protect the health and well-being of the
women by assisting them in birth control initiatives.
Unanswered Questions
The major unanswered question reflects on the appearance of the world without the
presence of the free birth control. Technological innovations are there to stay, and IUD's were an
example of how technologies play a crucial role in birth control. More so, it is difficult to
understand why different governments regulate sex for reproductive reasons only by banning
contraceptives. Does it mean that the world must live with the expectations of a dystopian
future? Taking birth control to the ground is an issue that comes with more questions than the
probable answers (Debenham, p.324). It is also difficult to think of the future of planned
parenthood of the free birth controls are not available for the masses to utilize. These rights are
something that most people have learned to live with, and one cannot understand what the
erosion of such protections will lead to in the future of parenting. It is also hard to understand
how the employers will deal with their employees when it comes to birth control.
