Question 1
The drowning child scenario is a test on how people should offer their ethical acts to other in
different problems. The drowning child is would put the students in dilemma of whether to rush
to class or to save him. Nevertheless, the students confirm to be ethical by considering the cost of
getting their clothes muddy and missing the class a no excuse towards rescuing the life.
Moreover, the students do not consider the people who see the child and pass him as an excuse to
also passing the child. When doing an ethical activity, one never cares about the fellow who does
not practice it.
Question 2
The circle explains how human concern to other fellows is broad and diversified. The concern to
care for others begins from the center of the circle which is represented by an individual. The
concern to others grows to families, nations, and finally, the entire world develops the required
ethics.
Question 3
The modern moment changes the history of the question of how we help others by the
development of egocentric interests. Many people feel that what they have is little, and they
work beyond their basic needs. Self-interest has made people watch the poor suffering and
begging along the streets without providing any aid.
