with the application of particular keywords such as state, the federal government, control, 
healthcare, and policy. There was a variety of peer-reviewed journals, and I picked the most 
seemingly relevant articles related to the keywords mentioned above. As a way of making the 
search more accurate, I limited the search in the United States that provided over 100 articles. I 
choose the articles that exhibited the most keywords of the study. On the internet, the question 
was just copy-pasted on the search button since it’s a big database. There were various academic 
articles and educational blogs addressing the issue. Again, the most appropriate articles were 
chosen. It is worthwhile noting that the dates of the articles were considered while choosing the 
journals; the most current ones got the priority. 
Results 
Each of the articles acknowledged that both the federal and state governments have a 
crucial role in the control of the healthcare policy. They began by identifying various issues that 
affect the healthcare delivery across all the states in the U.S. amongst the issues most addressed 
are the costs of healthcare, quality of healthcare, healthcare programs, roles of the governments 
in healthcare and conclude by giving their recommendations to address these issues. 
Healthcare providers usually complain of the dynamic healthcare policies that lead to 
unfair labor practices, unsustainable compensation reductions, unfriendly healthcare plans and 
unethical intrusion of healthcare policies that undermine the practice of medicine (Sekri, 2000). 
Heskett 2007 highlights increased healthcare issues resulting from ineffective health care 
policies such as cost escalation and how to contain it, quality issues and inequality of treatment 
in healthcare centers. Previously, many countries could borrow the United States healthcare 
policies to imitate them in the countries. However, due to various levels of management,
