Innovative Work behavior and sex differences in perception and evaluation of creative
work behavior
The study shows the bias that exists towards women when it comes to innovation. It is perceived
that men are more innovative than women in the workplace. It indicates that thinking about
innovation at the place of work is thinking about men. This can affect the morale of women at
the place of work due to such stereotype.
Three field studies done shows that women who innovate do not receive proper performance
evaluation. It also shows that in cases where men are innovative, the level of recognition and
performance evaluation is better than in women. Therefore the research study highlights the form
of sex bias that exists towards innovative women in the workplace.
