Introduction
A questionnaire is for the workers usually utilize the internal data systems so as to successfully
recognize discrepancies in employee working levels. Organizations utilize surveys
questionnaires in order to determine the direct consequence to organizational processes which
depends on the record proficiency.
In 2016, a survey was conducted by the national health care department seeking to collect
opinions of stakeholders in policymaking in the United States. The survey was mainly online
based. Most of the responses were collected online via the organization platform but others were
conducted by sending specific questionnaires to the participants (Osborn ET AL., 2016). The
participants include medical suppliers, administrators, doctors and patients
Type of Survey
The survey was conducted online through sending of questionnaires to different members of the
study group. Doctors associated with the organization and specialists were emailed in advance to
ask for their participation. Those who agreed to be participants were offered the open-ended
questionnaire through emails which they were to read and respond to within a week. Each of the
doctors was already committed in an institution that dealt with specialized health care, for
instance, psychiatric hospitals for children and rehabilitation.
The second group to receive the questionnaire were former patients of the institutions, the
questionnaire had been designed to meet different kinds of response and thus the responses were
different for each. The group also requested for participation through calls and email. Those still

in rehabilitation centers were asked to take part in an interview where the interviewer conducted
a discussion to meet the questionnaire and ease the process.
Reason
There have been many changes in the health policies of United States for many years. From the
managed care system in the 1990s to the introduction of Medicare and Medicaid, each
administration seems to come up with a strategy that will bring stability to the health situation in
the nation. Unfortunately, these Acts and policies have become too many that there is a conflict
within the system. The organization seeks to get the views of stakeholders on the best way to
conduct business will ensuring that the poor get the best possible services at the lowest cost.
Sustainability, quality and premium ceilings are the main agendas addressed in the survey.
The survey is relevant to the study in this paper because it utilizes a skill that is intended to be
learned by looking at the effectiveness of using this method. It also demonstrates by experience
the advantages that are received by the institution and the participants by allowing them to be the
true policymakers. The outcomes are unanimous and hence all members are expected to have no
bias with the outcome of the report.
Survey Analysis
Most of the answers offered in the survey were qualitative without any form of offering measure
of bias. Analyzing qualitative information is difficult than quantitative because it cannot be
computed to offer variances and other aspect measures. The interviewer has to demonstrate
understanding and set up guidelines that qualify the reports in a way that can offer the deductive
report. Information by administrators and professionals, on the other hand, offered a lot of

information and records of quantitative nature that is easy to analyze and conclude on the
challenges of healthcare policies and easily show the possible solution to the problem at hand.
Further, the survey was organized with parameters that are unique to the people of United States
allowing them to relate to a current issue that is being talked over in other institutions of the
government. The relevance of the survey has been seen in the numerous attempts by the federal
government to reach out to the community for help in making policies that suit their needs.
Lessons
Just about every respondent is dissatisfied with the policies made in the previous years. While at
first, the policies have been beneficial, most of the people feel that shortcuts and manipulation of
the system by stakeholders like insurers have been the main challenge in access of health care.
The gap between the rich and the poor can only be felt by incentives however, the current
incentive has not been adequate. According to the survey, all the policies that have been offered
by the government only cover the patients up to a certain level making it impossible to cater for
chronic health problems.
There is the inadequacy of doctors and facilities. Those that exist are either too expensive for the
poor or lack the right facilities forcing patients to be directed to offer regional facilities where
their cover is never enough to meet their needs. Policies that govern the policies were designed
to bring about balance but the economic cost of the policies have been too heavy on the GDP that
the government needs to focus on alternatives.
Participant research compares the richest nation in the world with other nations and looks at the
quality of health offered and identify it as under standards. Affordability is also a major
challenge that must be met as soon as possible. Issues of availability and customer preferences

too have been covered, all which indicate a nation in trouble if they do not reform their system
entirely starting with the appropriate policies that allow the health practitioners the ability to
offer care regardless of the economic status of the patient (Squires & Anderson, 2015).
While the survey was conducted with the aim of taking part in reforms, it is vital to the national
health administration because they are part of the policymakers. They have the ability to use the
information in creating a better formed and well-customized service that mitigates some if not all
the challenges that face the American citizens. The information collected in the survey will play
the role of literature and background information. It will inform the organization and other
members of the policy-making body of the challenges and solutions that the public expects. With
this data, they have a starting point. They are able to ask the right questions and answer the right
to help in improving the situation.
Redesigning
While the survey was open-ended, it demonstrated that it had the ability to collect unbiased
information about the situation, the participants, the public feelings and possible solutions. It
however covered a small number of respondents as compared to the total population. The
distribution was not adequate given that there are better ways to conduct a nationwide study. In
redesigning, it would be prudent to make it a campaign where the survey was advertised online
and every person given the opportunity to raise their opinion. While it would make the work hard
for the research to go through all the responses, it would also mean that the findings represent the
entire nation.
Secondly, the survey focused on changing the policies, it does not look at the benefits that have
been received from the current policies against the previous five years. It needs to eradicate the

bias that current policies are poor and are ineffective to allow the respondent the freedom to
answer his thoughts without any guiding questions.
