The Future of History
What is the real cause of the weakening of the left-wing mobilization and the effect it has
on the declining numbers in the middle class?
One of the reasons for this occurrence based on the article by Fukuyama, he considers the
absence of ideas in the realms (Watanabe, 2014). The consideration has been the fact the high
ground on issues relation to the economy has been under the control of the Libertarian right who
have had control over the past generations. On the other hand, the left wing has been in the
shadows when it comes to the credible liberal counter-narrative which is very unhealthy to their
growth since the act of competing is best when it comes to logical debates deemed necessary for
economic prosperity (Watanabe, 2014).
Is ideology the real force that drives how history gets written and the manner in which it
repeats itself?
Based on the arguments by Fukuyama, ideas which he refers to them as ideology, are the
cornerstones that surround the current political doctrines including moral values, cultures, and
religion of the society as a whole (Mueller, 2014). According to his article, Fukuyama mentions
how ideas have the ability to determine the cause of future events.
Are there current conflicts today that can get solved in a political-economic way instead
of the use of modern liberalism approach?
Surname 2
According to the article by Fukuyama, he delves into the effect history has to
international relations based on the ideology in which he argues: as the world focuses on
international relations, there will always be conflicts arising from this occurrence. Fukuyama’s
worry is of the power national interests have which tend to overshadow the ideologies that
govern the left-wing theories (Bilgin, 2016).
