Background
The nursing field has undergone several changes that has transformed it from the
traditional forms to the new ways which addresses numerous emerging issues. To
adapt to the changes, nurses are required upgrade from time-to-time to ensure they are
well acquainted with the necessary skills. Further, it is sincere to note that some of the
failures witnessed in the medical facilities is due to inadequate knowledge by the staff
working in the hospitals. Therefore, there is need to understand the impact of learning
organization on nursing staff performance at academic hospital which will help in
having a preview of the changes that are required in the sector. Moreover, it is vital to
have data in the impacts of the performance which will help in determining the best
learning dimension to produce the best results.the learning environment is essential
since it is from it that the flow of knowledge is promoted and hence it has to be
conducive for the objectives to be realized (Chow, 2014). On the other hand, the
learning organizational dimension has massive impacts on the uptake of the
knowledge since it will determine if the the nurses benefit which is established
through their performance in the different tasks. The development of the organization
into learning institution is an emerging concept that has been taken up by many
organizations with the aim of ensuring that there is promotion of continuous flow of
professional knowledge. From definition, learning organization is an institution that
facilitates the learning process of its members and progressively improving itself.
The learning dimension which may be approached from the courses and how the
process is organized incorporate difference concepts which include the courses,
learning opportunities, and the mechanism of learning determines if the objective of
the process will be achieved. Within the medical organization, in-service learning or
the continual learning is the most significant part of the process and the dimension of
learning is the bedrock of the process (Platis Reklitis & Zimeras, 015). Other
dimensions that promote learning include teaching ward rounds, academic meeting
within the institution, and the mortality reviews are among the ways through which
education is developed within the institution. This research seek to determine the
impact of the educational dimension on the performance of the nursing and thus it will

be able to give information that can be used in the formulation of policies and the
adoption of learning technique that will be productive.
Conceptual Framework
The research is a descriptive analytic survey and hence it will major on the
collection of primary data from player in the industry and particularly the nurses.
Collection of the data will involve carrying out a study on a population of seventy five
nurses managers from seven academic hospitals. The gathering of information is done
through the use of questionnaires that will address the issue of learning organization,
organizational dimension, and the resultant impact nurses performance. In other cases,
the use of interview will be used which will allow for an interaction with the
participants and also give an insight into their thought. The technique will ensure that
some information that is not covered in the questionnaires is addressed since the
participants my have time to give their opinions. After the data is collected it will be
recorded and analysis will occur with the help of the SPSS software which is an
effective tool in the interpretation of the data.
Search Strategy
The research will make use of academic work that is related to the topic to gain
the required baseline information useful in the determination of the results. Among
the websites that are useful include goggle scholar and CHINAL which are reliable
sources of information about earlier research conducted on similar topic. The articles
obtained will be recent articles collected from research within few year hence
ensuring that the information is relevant to the contemporary world.
Review of Literature
The information obtained related to the field of study include the works of
Leufvén et al (2015) which provides information on the type of questions to put in the
questionnaire to help collect the required information.further the works by Chow et al
(2014) provides base line information on the importance of the organizational
learning and some of the successful procedures that have been applied. The article by
Platis, Reklitis & Zimeras (2015) gives insight into the into job performance and some
of the factors that promote its realization.
