What types of students do you like to have in your classes?
As a passionate teacher always willing to reach those who have a tendency to
resist learning, I would like to have tough statements in my classes. Of course,
hardworking, disciplined, timely and cooperating students are desired by most of the
educators. Probably this kind of students are needed in every class, otherwise, it
would be almost impossible to draw attention during the lessons.
Being a teacher is not an ordinary job that everyone can deal with.
Additionally, being a good teacher is not as simple as it requires a dedicated,
passionate and full committed person who has the capacity to fight any challenges
in his or her professional life. This particular point is very important for me because
one of the most important of those challenges are students with reluctance to learn.
In fact, the resistance or reluctance of students should be taken as a weakness of a
teacher. Because, in each one of these circumstances, there should be a student who
is not motivated enough to focus on his or her studies. In this sense, every teacher
should have the quality to get these students be involved in any education even if
they don’t feel so.
I believe that I would make a real teacher if I have this type of students have
a similar standard of learning with his or her pairs. Many people might think that
sometimes it would be a total waste of time consumed by an unreachable goal, but I
think the opposite. Even if I failed to get enough concentration from an unwilling
student, the time I spend to draw his or her attention is nothing about wasting my
time. Maybe this time I could fail, but the experience I would gain is something
unique and incomparable which could definitely take me to success in the future.
As a result, every teacher would like to have successful and disciplined
students in his or her classes but from my point of view, what is more, important is
to have those who have difficulties to focus and learn.
